December 2, 20205 yr Just finished watching this last night - I loved it. It defies description in many ways, but it's a pretty intense, slow burn character study about a small group of nuns who establish a convent in the Himalayas in the mid-1930s. Hauntingly beautiful location and visuals, and an overall vibe of almost magical realism. It's probably not for everyone, but it's apparently based on a novel and a 1947 movie by the same name (I hadn't heard of either of them before). It's just a three part miniseries (each episode is about an hour or so) and originally aired on FX, so it's probably also on Hulu. Check it out if you need a change of pace from "Ouch, My Balls!" or "Singer in a Hat" or whatever... Edited December 2, 20205 yr by Prepuce of Doom
