Would be nice to have him take over for Sam.

Hell, yes.

Brewer was garbage this year. Zero chance he would be an upgrade over any of the QBs we currently have waiting in the ranks.

Crazy story I just came across recently - apparently his grandfather and father both played at Texas and Texas didn't even offer him.

He also was player behind a more injured and horrible line than ours.

Yeah that's probably one of the last positions we need help in.

For like a slot receiver at the end of a blowout game?

Since this news broke, I haven't seen a single Baylor fan express regret that he's leaving. He arguably shouldn't even be playing football anymore after his brain got scrambled last year.

If these aren’t troll posts and legit opinions held by Texas fans we don’t deserve nice things.

Shit. Next you'll be telling me a certain QB and WR were roommates.

And so were their fathers!

Well lets hear him out, maybe he left out the part about black jerseys. We gotta hear the entire plan.

Dude can’t throw 20 yards downfield. Arms shot

Never really seemed rapey enough for Baylor.

His brain is scrambled and his throwing arm and shoulder are shot. But yes let’s believe he is somehow going to be an upgrade for us.

Be a great fit for Texas Tech.

Yeah, among other reasons, but with the way things went with his older brother, Michael; I'd say that notion is a Nokie-dokie.

......but he was willing to learn.

Is Shane coming back to SMU ?  If not who’s their next guy?

I think he goes. Big recruit Preston Stone should be the guy.

South Carolina,  comes with a membership to Augusta National

Thanks for reminding us Tim Brando....lol.

We could give him the #80 jersey, line him up at TE, and no one would notice any difference.

Brewer would do better at Texas with protection, but he's a significant downgrade from Ehlinger. Weak arm, injury prone, poor decision maker in the pocket, and doesn't seem to have the feet he once did.

Sounds just like Sam

Good mobile quarterback but a terrible passer.  Nope  No way.  Never.

And he's only got one more year... my guess is he's transferring due to coaching conflicts, but also because he has absolutely ZERO shot at the pros unless he gets onto a better team.
It would be a mistake of more than colossal proportions to even consider him.

But good luck to him, good kid, I hope he finds a good team.

Maybe mini-Sam. They are not close, physically. Maybe mentally.

Brewer should retire, so he can still have quality of life. This is as dumb as Ash playing football in Europe.

Crazy to think Shane could come back next year if he wanted to

He's built like a matchstick and has worn down some serious tread on the tires. Dude should be going pro in something other than sports.

This. Preston Stone is a stud. Maybe Texas can get him when we hire Dykes in January. Ducks.

stone is a coward who couldn’t cut it in UIL so he tucked tail and ran to tapps.  he’s trash and will be a terrible backup in college.

except he wasn’t good enough to play ball in the park cities.

Which is probably why he is transferring.  The beating he got was horrible.

Hard pass

He can’t do that because of his noodle arm.

False. He didn’t want to start one year for HP. He knew he was not going to get a fair shake behind Chandler Morris (Chad Morris’ kid). It was pretty clear when Stone was a sophomore and Morris was a junior that Stone was far superior. Go look at his offer list. I love futureman and realize he probably knows the full story here and is trolling.  Preston Stone is a badass.

He can ball. Parish has been pretty fucking good lately, too.

Optimally he wouldn't start for us as a true frosh but he just might.

I’m probably the wrong person to be trolling on this particular topic. Preston Stone isn’t “trash”. I love you and your bits but you gotta realize that you’re bound to strike some nerves on your trolls that hit a little too close to home.

Get a room, Mr. Stone
