the league office should have let each team play 1 or 2 non-conference opponents.  instead of going to 10 games and cannibalizing one another

can we get a clean url to this?  can't find it in the post

A&M wasn't going to get in if it was even close between them and ND.

1. Name recognition. Blue blood vs. non blue blood. The committee proved that it mattered in that TCU/Baylor year. A&M is an afterthought on the national stage with zero TV pull.

2. Second best win comparison. #15 UNC vs. fired coach Auburn. The ACC was actually better than the SEC this year.

3. Best win comparison - shaky Florida who lost to skeleton crew LSU at home vs. Clemson sans Lawrence.

4. No CCG appearance. You can argue about Lawrence missing the first game, but they at least had to play an extra game. If A&M plays Bama twice, they lose twice. Badly. Even if Bama has to play its back up QB. It's not like DJ Ukelele is a scrub out of the stands. That dude can ball.

5. ND played two more games than A&M.

6. Nobody wanted to see them rematch against Bama. That first game was less competitive than the Clemson/ND II.

7. aggy=cult with hive mind.  ~BOMC

During what will surely be Bama blowing out ND, let’s all prepare ourselves for the inevitable (and completely lacking in self awareness) tweets from Aggy about how they would’ve done against Bama.

Anyone got posts from aggy board?  Should be glorious.....

found one guy that will probably be banned

Style points matter. Tight game vs a later 0-9 Vandy and got manhandled at Bama. We just didn't have enough domineering games.

Looking forward to BTHO Dirty Feet!

aggy is gonna get Abbott to hire Giuliani to contest the selection and ask for a re-count.  aggy will show’m!

So when does aggy fan go back to hating Mond for being a black activist?

The best part is if aggy stayed in the Big 12, they'd probably beat blowU (and everyone else) and make the CFP over ND.

But, aggy's team would be marginally weaker bc it wouldn't be stocked with Texas kids who wanted to play in the SEC SEC SEC. 2020 was best case scenario for aggy.

aggy you have peaked under this guy. Congrats.

How will Aggy depict the “2020-21” NC stolen by the selection committee on their Wall of Delusion?

Put it on the wall! Covid stopped them from losing to Bama by 30 in the final 4. Whooop!

See y'all in 2039 for the big celebration lurking fucktards.

I feel bad for Kent State and Prairie View A&M when A&M goes back to their normal SEC schedule next year with a big chip on their shoulder.

Aggy’s best team since joining the SEC was their first team with Heisman Johnny.  A team 100% made up of  players who were recruited and signed to play as a Big 12 team.

There's no evidence in the past 20 years that this would have occurred.

Aggy had some talented teams in the Big XII.  They always found a way to fuck it up, aside from 1998.

This is the way.

Maybe, but my guess is a few of these kids wouldn't be in Collie Station without SEC aggy. The 2012 team definitely had a better offense.

I’m definitely in a good mood today. 😁

Texags had a live video feed from their offices this morning as the results were announced anticipating they would be #4.

The reaction was priceless:

This. While the big XII was certainly down this year, there would have absolutely been 1-2 wtf moments on their season. Further, I will never be keen on complimenting Ousux, but while the Big XII was terrible this year, so was the SEC. I think Ousux would have worked aggy.

ousux got better throughout the season.  That's not something we Texas fans are really used to.  If the ags had played them in week 1 or 2 they probably would have won.  If the ags played them right now, sooners would beat them pretty handily.  Turns out, good coaching matters.

I just stopped in to say:

BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAYAUAHAUAHAUAHAYAYYAJAJAHAHAUAHAYAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA, FUCK YOU, YOU SILLY FARMING BASTARDS!!!

Alabama -20 makes it even funnier.

What would the line be for aggy? -24?

Well, rankings coming out in about a minute. And the bowl selections...Cheez-it?

What do you call someone's cheese that isn't yours? (ha ha ha)

Bama is going to destroy Notre Dame in a similar fashion to when they met in the BCS Championship years ago. Notre Dame beating Clemson the first time was on account of numerous key Clemson players being held out for COVID, the second matchup clearly demonstrated that. If ND couldn't hang with a full strength Clemson they definitely can't hang with Bama. Looks like another Bama/Clemson playoff battle in store.

#1 is the most important.  These bowl games are TV events and Aggy realizing they might not be a national brand is funny. There’s a reason for the annual mental gymnastics around Ohio State.  Aggy is regional at best and then only really Texas.

Committee got a year where they could justify three big brands.  That’s a good year all things considered.

We’ve got vaccines and aggy missing the playoff.  Nice to see 2020 throwing a couple of bones on the way out.

Yeah it'll be worse than what Clemson just did to them.

Man, these are some meh games, tbh. Aside from ou sux vs Gata, these will all be forgotten.

Mack is going to be so horny for this matchup.

Fine with me. Let him be their curse then. We exercised the Mack demon curse on page 666 of the Urban or Bust thread. No bonfire big enough will exercise the Mack/ATM curse.

Man, I feel like Coastal got screwed.

Maybe Jimbo should learn the snake oil salesman pitch from Mack and he would have gotten in. He should have down some more smiley glad handing

Gary Barta on ESPN just now with the explanation on why Cincy over Coastal on New Year's bowl games. The explanation was just as shitty as you'd imagine it to be.
