2020 takes another one. I'm not a big hip hop fan but Madvillainy and Mm...Food are two of my favorite hip hop albums. Apparently, he passed away back on Halloween but his wife didn't release the news until today.

MF DOOM 03-04 run of albums was fucking legendary. RIP to one of the greatest to ever do it

I'm surprised in today's age of social media and being connected to the grid 24/7 that you can keep a death of a musician hidden for that long.

Especially an artist of that stature and stroke. Such an original and talented writer.  This year just keeps delivering the blows. Until. The. Bitter. Fucking. End.

I'm not surprised that out of all people it was DOOM who managed to keep it under wraps for so long

fuck 2020, here on the last day of the year.

I wasn't aware of him until recently, but as a kid growing up on 90s rap, to discover him in the last few years was dope.

RIP MF DOOM

Damn. Missed this yesterday. That's insane that he had been dead for 2 months. Sad news - he was a hugely respected and influential guy in the industry.

I was never the biggest fan of his music but at the same time can't say I ever disliked any of it. I'll have to go back through now.

Kinda weird he made his debut with 3rd Bass, they seemed like an MTV novelty to me.
