Are you sure? I thought yesterday was Tuesday.

A thought has occurred to me concerning the search and seizure, and I haven't seen it discussed anywhere. The assumption is that some of the records retained by Trump were classified.   But FBI agents would not have security clearance to see classified documents. But FBI agents would not have security clearance to see classified documents. It would seem that someone with a much higher security clearance, such as an intelligence official, would have to be present for the search. Has there been any reporting of such officials being there?

Are you really speculating that you might have spotted the flaw in the FBI's plan?

Good lord.

I go over there from time to time thinking it'll be fun and crazy but it's really just depressing to watch those morons convinced Trump is a white knight.  It's like going into a low rent casino: you think, hey, this'll be fun and all you see is retirees and laborers losing whatever spare money they have in between cigarettes.

Exactly.  I rarely last long.  I can’t tell you how many posts they’ve made claiming Trump is the greatest president in American history.

Not at all. Just curious. I'm guessing that there was someone there with security clearance. But I don't recall seeing that mentioned in the dozen or so articles I've read.

So, maybe, government employees from other "departments" that had the necessary clearances, were in the party, and did the document validation and handling?

Or, maybe, NONE of the search party were "FBI Agents".  There's lots of types of agents.

bad info

MEMORY LANE:  so when Trump was in office he decapitated the FBI leadership because they wouldn’t stop doing their job.  Right wing media and GOP Congress put the FBI/Rosenstein on public trial for two years. Trump’s DOJ also leaked the Strozk/Page texts for purely political purposes.  Super Pacs were running attack ads against Rod Rosenstein, a Trump appointed DAG.  I cannot stress to you enough how insane this was.

My point here is all this bullying was rewarded because everyone got away with everything in the end. Trump/GOP is running the same playbook here for obvious reasons.

I have seen former FBI agents comment on the Twitterverse that FBI agents have a Top Secret clearance.  Doesn't mean that can look at all types of classified docs though.

Is anyone else waiting on tenterhooks to see John Oliver Sunday night?

dotard may have been in possession of documents with a classification type that is itself classified, which would account for why dotard hasn't released the search warrant because doing so in and of itself would be a violation of national security due to the language in the warrant itself.

The "good ones."
Yep, my ex father in law (RIP) was friends for years with his neighborhood sheriff who happened to be black. "He's one of the good ones, unlike the rest of the nigg##$."
Dude was a racist homophobe to the end.

Hatred and fear of the others is baked into our culture.

Yo Dawgception - Web Comics - 4koma comic strip ...

I was going to say.  Magistrate Judge is not a real prestige position.  There's nothing wrong with it, and it can be a ticket to a district judgeship, but lawyers in private practice who muck around with Epstein and Maxwell don't go on to become magistrate judges, most of the time.
And, apparently, his representation of Epstein related people as a defense attorney was extremely low-level employees who were witnesses at worst.

Also, didn’t this guy go from private practice to Federal Magistrate during TFG’s presidency?

SIAP.

You are correct. One requirement for eligibility to be a Special Agent:

  • Be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.

https://www.fbijobs.gov/special-agents

I learned something new today.

I just have to reiterate my unabiding love for the idea that the world's most stick-in-the-ass law-and-order types might have forgotten to make sure someone had a sufficient security clearance on their raid to find . . . secret documents.

I just toured my conservative twice Trump voting mom All around Northern California. It radically changed her unfavorable view of the state. She is ready to move out west for the weather, scenery and people. Except she loathes change and won't. But getting to know the scary others does wonders to reasonable folks opinions.

Correct, access to classified data requires the appropriate clearance level and need to know for the material. You don’t get a TS clearance and get to walk into the pentagon and start digging through files.

This is why we have a rural vs urban divide now.  They don't ever see anything different.  There are a ton of reasons as to why we've gotten here, but Big Ag and corporations being "people" is the main reason.

The inventory would probably reference document numbers and not the document names or material. They couldn’t create the warrant that could be left with someone without a clearance otherwise.

I listened to part of the Eric Trump interview on Hannity from Monday night, you know 8/8 Raid Day.  Anyways, he actually said a few interesting things. He claims he was there when the raid happened, he was not shown the warrant (which may be procedural or it could mean the warrant has sensitive info), and he said it was "about 30 agents in about 20 cars.". That's a big fucking group of agents for 15 boxes of evidence. Now I'm sure some of them were there for security purposes, closing off the location and such, ensuring no monkey business from Trump people, watching the cars, but it sounds like they expected to need a lot of help to find everything.
