January 1, 20214 yr We’re watching the New Year’s Eve shows. Aside from the rap artists, none of the new music has any balls. It’s either typical pop crap or some fucking dork singing over sad piano.
January 1, 20214 yr The one I'm excited about, especially since Annie Clarke said she's going to shift from the synth-y stuff.... https://consequenceofsound.net/2020/12/st-vincent-new-album-2021/

January 31, 20214 yr New Chevelle album out in March. First two singles. Took me a few spins to get into them, but I've listened to Peach at least 50 times in the past day:
January 31, 20214 yr Another really good record. If you would have told me Lucero would try using synths I would’ve expected it to be awful but they pull it off. Seems like a natural progression from “Among The Ghosts”
February 6, 20214 yr Appears this came out in Oct 2020 but I heard it for the first time on XMU today. I think it's his debut single -- nothing else out there, I don't think. PawPaw Rod. It's catchy as hell. Edited February 6, 20214 yr by C-Man
February 15, 20214 yr Daniel Romano never ceases to amaze me. He just keeps coming up with great sounded rock and roll. Not as much of a fan of his “country,” stuff as I am his rock and roll stuff. Jeez
March 4, 20214 yr New St. Vincent Not sure how I feel about the song, but I do like her in a blonde wig.

But I know people love her. 56 minutes ago, NOMAAA said: well holy shit this clap your hands and say yeah is most excellent. was not expecting anything close to this. its kind of perfect. Hmm. Will have to check this out. I thought they were pretty much done-zo. My wife and I went to see Alec in a living room show in Oak Cliff 3-4 years ago (hell, maybe longer than that) and chatted him up afterward. He gave me his setlist. Nice guy. It was weird, though, watching him play in some hipster's living room.
