Sorry, I got it backwards, but in my defense the mistake was seeded by Inka.

IDK about that.  No rain yet, but the big winds just arrived at our country place near Liberty Hill.

Never underestimate the power of the force field.

I mean that massive-tipped thing was arriving with a yellow-ish hue from straight down.  Then it hits South Austin and is just sucked up and spit out.

What in South Austin could handle such magnitude?

You mean the kind of storm or hurricane that can knock up the weather lady? They don’t exist…

Is it July in atx cause it doesn’t feel like it right now.

Absolutely perfect outside in Houston right now.

I sat out on the patio last night and it was crazy comfortable for a July evening.

This must be karma for freezing my ass off without propane for a couple days and the mental anxiety related to preventing broken pipes.

Wait, the forecast is 26.8 inches of rain just south of Tyler over the next 10 days without a hurricane camping out?  In July?  wtf

My uncle lives in Pittsburg (near MT Pleasant) said rain is always nice BUT not that much damn rain.

So does this summer weather mean we can expect another week in the winter without power and using melted snow to flush our toilets?  I mean, if my pipes hold up again, I might accept that tradeoff.

It’s a possible scenario based on the data the Euro weather model uses. It is now 9 days out so of course it remains to be verified. It is by no means an actual forecast, but it can be indicative of an extreme rainfall event somewhere and sometime in the future. It is something to be watched over the next few days to see if the patterns setup the way the models suggest they might.

I just like the hot link place and Outlaws BBQ… But driving into town past the chicken place is nasty.

I still remember that nasty mayonnaise plant in Sherman.  Good god.  In the summer.
