They’re all shit hires

Solid B hire for me. #4/5 choice behind UM, BK, Campbell and maybe Mullen

I mean...we got a guy who averaged 7 wins a year in the Pac-12.

/alpacino---iamoverfuckingwhelmed

Probably gonna cost us a cool mill per win.  But hey...these are the days!

List of DCs i wouldn't mind hiring

Steele

Muschamp

Mason

Lanning from Georgia

Dan Quinn

Fuck it. We have a no talent drunk coaching currently why can't we have a talented drunk?

I support both of those!

seems it would be incredibly easy to recruit against this guy, "he'll be drunk and fired by next week without Saban babysitting him".

See Michigan as far as hiring Alabama’s OCs. Total busts. But sark is different I think it’s great hire!

Yeah I didn't realize it until reading an article today but UW was 0-12 the year before Sark took over.

Would have been a 5+ win team if Locker didn’t get hurt.  Would have won a few games if UW had a decent backup QB.  The starter for the bulk of the season was a borderline DII talent.  Willingham was complete garbage.

"Have a drink with me."

Ok, now that the shock has worn off, I'm liking the fact that at bare minimum we've got a guy who understand what it takes having been at Bama and also is a lights out recruiter.

Biggest negative is that we are guaranteed to lose the Bama home and home in a couple of years.. Not that Sark will fail but because Saban sold his soul to never lose to his assistants.

God, help us. I can't imagine a worse hire. Proven failure at two schools. Proven unable to handle the pressures of the job. Shown lack of discipline.  I would rather hire Misty Starks as head coach, Sark as offensive coordinator, Will as defensive coordinator and pay them $3mil per year. Then bring in the best position coaches like Alabama's OL coach at 2.5X their current pay.

10 losses at UW by 28+ points

Very good friend of mine worked for the Fred Hutch Institute in community outreach.  They eventually quit inviting Sark to their events, because he would always show up drunk and pass his phone number to any remotely cute female intern there.

This will end badly.

Mullen is a clown

WTF is going on?!
The BDE answer: CDC wanted to fire Herman today, but the incoming coach refuses to be announced until after the national championship. So CDC, playing 5D chess, leaks a rumor that will give him cover to wait until after that game is finished, at which point he will announce the real hire.

Idk about this. I feel like he has a better chance to relapse at Texas than win a title. Hope it all works out

Jake Locker broke his hand early that year and missed the rest of the season.  He was back for Sark's first season.

5D chess with Urban’s emotions knowing he wants the job.

Any poster on this site is a better hire than James Franklin or Sonny Dykes.

Honestly would rather just give Chris Ash a shot with a lower salary/buyout.

Lol wut. He’s 3-27 in conference as a HC.

At Rutgers. The lower salary/buyout is the emphasis of my statement.

Seems better to me than an inevitable mid season firing WHEN Sark relapses.

I'm fine with sark as long as we didn't break the bank for him.  Would rather not have a $15 million buyout when he inevitably gets shit canned in 4 years.  Would rather spend the money on poaching quality assistants.

This job will have him back to drinking by year 2

For sure by game two.

I cannot believe we would hire a coach who is afraid of - running away from - Jimbo and the mighty Texum aggys.

If we hire Sark I bet he can close the deal with Ewers.

well it does rhyme with Dewers.  I kid i kid.  At a minimum, Milroe would instantly be in transfer watch.

We've got us an Armenian Warrior for new head Coach.

Aremenians are cool as hell people.
