Other than it being the textbook definition of targeting I agree.

I agree it's a textbook call, but it's still a horrible call. It's a bad rule

In high school you don’t get ejected for targeting. It’s stupid that happens in college.

Seems like it should be like a technical foul in basketball. Two and you’re out, but the first is an automatic 15 yards.

This. It’s dumb guys get ejected for unintentional penalties.

I get it's targeting and that's the rule, but that tight end is huge and the only way to break up the pass is to hit him hard.

Bama can now double dip. Get a scoring drive before half and get the possession to start the 3rd. A huge waste for Ohio St there.

This is a young Bama defense without any elite pass rushers. They look sound enough on defense. I think Golding would be fine.

Damn hate the targeting penalty.  Make the call but if it isn’t 💯 intentional get rid of the ejection.

I know, he should totally be able to give the tight end a concussion because he's a big guy.

College has some stupid fucking rules. Why on earth did they ever implement fair catching it anywhere in play is like a touchback? Defeats the purpose of a kickoff team trying to pin them deep with a strategic kick.

Good to know we're going with the number that Bama claims for talking about their national titles.

Sure, but leading with the crown of your helmet is unnecessary. That’s why it was textbook targeting to me.

He hit him in the chest, so that's not going to happen. He led with the crown, which is what got called.

If CFB really wanted to do more about player safety they would change the clock rules which could reduce 120ish plays a year based on some studies they have done...instead of kicking guys out of the game
