I'm serious- do not watch this video if you do not like to see (and hear) gruesome injuries. In fact, don't even scroll down and look at the screen cap. You have been warned.

SERIOUSLY GRAPHIC AND PAINFUL INJURY VIDEO AHEAD:

not having seen or read anything about this, i'm trying to figure out what's going on in the picture.  is his elbow backward?

His left patella tendon failed on the takeoff causing him to fall backwards in midair. His left arm went behind him, and when he landed on it, it snapped his humerus a few inches above the elbow. The picture of him laying there shows his broken arm rotated behind behind him before Bert Kreischer rotated to a normal position. Pretty horrible injury, but the memes are hilarious and Segura is handling it with good humor.

oh yeah, same goes for the two bones in his arm being snapped in half.

well, did it break above the elbow?

Only one bone, the humerus.  There are X-ray pictures out there showing the break.

I would expect him to handle it well. And since he does, I'd like to add that damn this is some poetic justice. If you've ever seen the podcast he does with his wife (your mom's house), the first hour is usually them just subjecting the audience and/or their guest to gross/gruesome/disturbing/sometimes just plain funny internet videos. His video is literally something Segura would play to a guest and then just stare at their face with a stupid little smirk as he awaits a reaction.

This thread reminds me...

I’ve always wondered why there isn’t a thread dedicated to standup comedy, podcasts, the industry, etc.

That was pretty clutch of Bert, I think I would have hurled all over the fucking place if I was there

This is why fatasses shouldn't have a dunk contest

yep.  I have like Bert for awhile now, but never really jumped deep into any of his podcasts so now I am going back through and listening to every single 2Bears 1 Cave podcast for starters.  I got enough to keep me entertained for half a year at least because I typically only listen in about 20 min snippets when I am getting ready for work.   This isn't even counting the BillBert and Bert's own one.

I thought the live show on NYE where they showed this video was great.  I was blitzed out of my gourd though so that probably helped.   I ended up going back to watch the 1st live event and didn't think it was as good as the NYE one.

I came here to post this.  I love Segura, but good lord has that guy just gotten his rocks off on injury porn for the better part of a decade.  This is easily one of the most ironic/karmic incidents I can recall.

That's a great idea.  I was really into comedy podcasts in general for a good 3-4 years.  Something about the shit of 2020 just lead me adrift, but it used to be that I'd listen to every episode of YMH, Monday Morning Podcast, Bertcast, Stanhope's, etc.
