January 2, 20214 yr Shaka: "Oh, crap. CDC really will fire a coach. We better win this one." Damn shame, this butt whooping is overshadowed by the news of the day. This one felt so nice!
January 2, 20214 yr It’s been a long time since we had a dominant win against a formidable opponent. Hook em!
January 2, 20214 yr Suck a fat dick, KU, and the Big 12 for thinking us having COVID problems would help Kansas
January 2, 20214 yr Texas is legitimately good this year. Seems like every single game, a new player has a career game. Which actually matters because the team is full of seniors and juniors. It feels like its clicking for everyone all at the same time. This has to be the best Texas basketball team so far since that stretch where Texas was #1 under barnes. I hope their confidence soars. That upcoming Baylor game suddenly looks so much bigger now. Texas has more than a puncher's chance to shake up the nation, they can actually ball.

I actually set an alarm to wake up to watch this game. I thought it'd be close, tough game. This is so much better. Last basketball game I can remember being this satisfying was Shaka's win over OU his first year where Texas shut them down for like 10 minutes straight.
January 2, 20214 yr Kansas led for zero seconds. The only tie I think was 0-0 and that only lasted 63 seconds. Edited January 2, 20214 yr by Pato del Muerto
January 2, 20214 yr Popular Post Cherry on top of today would be Mack Brown breaking Aggy's heart again.
January 2, 20214 yr Did that kid that was leaning Texas and then Oklahoma ever sign? Can't remember his name. If not, maybe we still have a chance?
January 2, 20214 yr Texas' largest margin of victory over a ranked team in program history worst home defeat in Bill Self's Kansas career
January 2, 20214 yr I think this is finally the year. Too much talent, depth, and experience on this roster...plus not playing in full arenas this year. Everything is shaping up for a deep run. Elite 8 or bust

January 2, 20214 yr Got damn. 35 points? I should have tuned in, but between the other shitshow and fear that we'd dump a 20 point lead in the last 5 minutes as usual kept me away. Edited January 2, 20214 yr by TwiceHorn
January 2, 20214 yr Isn't it funny how when the announcers keep talking about your team's defensive qualities you end up putting up a lot of points? Great win on the road. Best team potential we have had in a while and they seem to be having fun playing! The awkwardness of the early games is turning into good communication and anticipation. Should be fun to watch the boys this year. Nice to put a beat down on Kansas.

We are seeing a continuation of that final stretch of games + adding in a top 10 player.

January 2, 20214 yr Popular Post how fucking awesome was that? holy shit that was enjoyable from start to finish. I told you guys that Shaka was the man!

January 2, 20214 yr I mean, I do feel bad for the basketball team. Their biggest win is definitely overshadowed by football news.
January 2, 20214 yr Great game guys. Enjoy the win today and tomorrow morning get focused on the next game.

January 2, 20214 yr To reiterate: Probably won't happen again in my lifetime, so going to savor this one.
January 2, 20214 yr Then again, Shaka doing his best Mensa impressions the past couple years does play a factor.
January 2, 20214 yr Had to look it up, but the last win at Phog was the game J'Covan Brown went off from deep.

Ya, I liked Shaka when he was at VCU and I've liked him since he stepped foot at UT. I think he actually is a very smart person, but doesn't brag. He just has had a shitty record at Texas is all. I disliked herman from the moment he was at UH. Anyone who brags about being in Mensa is a moron. A Mensa membership is a pretty quick way to tell if someone has self esteem problems and isn't really that smart. If you have to go around telling people that you're smart, you probably aren't. I'd be down for Shaka to build something great at Texas. When Herman won the sugar bowl, it was more like I tolerated that we were winning with a douchebag at coach. Fuck Tom Herman, I'm glad Smart is actually improving right now. EDIT: Also just to say, fuck UH and the entire city of Houston. We should never ever resort to hiring a Cougar High coach again. Fuck that loser school and city. When it comes to athletics, the city of Houston's fanbases are basically NFL aggy. #5 UH shitting the bed means Texas should probably move into the top 5 on Monday. January 2, 20214 yr I liked it early on when the announcers were talking about KU’s only loss and our only loss. It was something like “Kansas lost to #1 Gonzaga and Texas lost to a pretty good Villanova team”. Uh, they are #4 you asshat.
January 2, 20214 yr It just occurred to me that Texas has now beaten Kansas, indiana, and North Carolina already this year.
