November 20, 20241 yr Is it just me or is it a little strange that Loreal is not only on the sidelines, but usually within 5-10 feet of Sark during the games?
November 21, 20241 yr Popular Post Sergeant Al Powell : Hey Roy, how you feeling? John McClane : Pretty fuckin' unappreciated, Al. AUSTIN, Texas — Meeting with the media on Monday for the first time in weeks, Texas Longhorns redshirt junior quarterback Quinn Ewers was asked to assess his performance this season. Ewers demurred. “I mean, we’re 9-1, I’m pretty excited about that,” Ewers said. As the national conversation surrounding the No. 3 Longhorns has focused on the team’s strength of schedule and lack of wins over top teams, a large portion of the Texas fan base has spent this week in varying stages of meltdown about Ewers throwing for just 172 yards on 32 pass attempts in the 20-10 win over Arkansas in Fayetteville. The discourse surrounding Ewers also prompted a question about whether he feels appreciated by Longhorns fans. “Do I feel appreciated? Yeah, I think so. They’re passionate, for sure, but yeah, feel good about it,” Ewers said. On Thursday, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian broke off from answering a question about what his quarterback is going through to send a message to the fanbase. “I tell this to all Longhorn Nation — we’re 9-1 for the second year in a row, we’re competing for a conference championship for the second year in a row. We’re competing for a spot in the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row. Don’t forget what the last decade looked like. Let’s just remember how good we’ve got it right now and appreciate this team for how good they’re playing right now,” Sarkisian said. How’s that for perspective?
November 21, 20241 yr Preach Sark. Too many Texas fans are irrational and shitty just as water is wet. We've somehow already reverted back to Ohio State/Georgia/Bama level of expectations despite being the epitome of average (and at times worse) for well over a decade until '23. I was as frustrated at times during the Arkie game as anyone but the amount of bitching I've seen almost a week later about a 10 point road win where we kneeled the ball out in the red zone has been exhausting. You don't have to look far over at OU and their current trajectory to remember that regardless of how the rest of this season plays out we are in fact finally living in the good times again.
November 23, 20241 yr He definitely deserves criticism for his QB decisions. Fuck optics. Fuck feeling bad for your starting QB. Your loyalty is to the entire team and what's best for it. He clearly is not doing that right now. It's bizarre.
November 24, 20241 yr Annoyed about what happened with Quinn. But we won and now he has a chance to fuck up aggy and get us to the sec champ game

December 1, 20241 yr Popular Post Eltife deserves to rub this hire in a lot of people's faces (including me) because he received a lot of shit in the first couple of years.

December 1, 20241 yr Sark was masterful last night, my only complaint is he keeps coaching around Quinn instead of just benching him. Hopefully whatever jitters or injury or whatever gets worked out before the playoff because we ain’t going to be able to win the national championship without a QB. But feeding Wisner and relying on defense has been awesome, he’s usually so eager to get more points on the board he just keeps passing when the run is working.

The leaning on the run play calling is a big improvement. I feel past years he was too eager to shoot and score and games that should have been blow outs ended up being close. Now leaning on that run game allows him to win comfortably.

He got cute a couple times in the third quarter but realized his mistake and Ewers’s complete collapse in confidence and changed course. Kudos to him. Imagine this team with even a capable, confident game manager at QB, let alone a playmaker.

December 2, 20241 yr My coach Quote In a video caught by CBS Austin's Bob Ballou, Sarkisian can be seen chasing down the players who were running to the logo in the middle of the field waving his arms to get them to stop. What a job by Steve Sarkisian of preventing World War III in College Station #HookEmpic.twitter.com/9hKkQbtXgR - Bob Ballou (@BobBallouSports) December 1, 2024 Chaos was averted, but it left some questioning why Sarkisian wouldn't want his players to celebrate on the logo, as many teams do when winning a major rivalry game. Sarkisian explained his actions in his postgame interview, citing what happened earlier that day at the Ohio State–Michigan game as his main reasoning. That rivalry game ended in a huge brawl when Michigan planted its flag on Ohio State's field, and some players were pepper sprayed by police. Sarkisian didn't want this to happen on his watch. "Rivalries are great, but there's a way to win it with class, and I just didn't think that's the right thing to do. We shouldn't be on their logo. We shouldn't be planting any flags on their logo," Sarkisian said. "And I'd like to, whenever that day comes, get the same respect in return. "I just think there's a way we try to teach our players how to go about our business. We celebrate with one another. It's not about any other team. It's about what we do. And I think there's a way to win with class and I'm hopeful that we can continue to learn how to do that." Edited December 2, 20241 yr by TonyTexas

Coach on the field? lol somehow Taffe always just seems to be in the right place at the right time and makes the plays, I'd say that's just achieving. Dude works his ass off and seems like he's just a really great guy to be around. Then on the other side Mukuba has gotten so good at aiming for the ball with his hits he sometimes is accidentally getting his hands on the ball. Look at this hit he almost picks it just by getting to the ball with his body and hands, even though it was basically caught, he knocks it out.
December 4, 20241 yr Author My man has us in the SEC Championship in his first year, and may sign the top-ranked recruiting class today. So yeah, Sark is kicking some fucking ass out there.
December 6, 20241 yr I was not a believer when he was hired. I am not only now a believer, but I have faith he'll be winning a few titles. I mean, we have the #1 signing class without any top heavy crap to prop it up. Not one recruit is a meh. At the worst we’ll have the #2-3 class if Justus Terry doesn’t sign with us. That is some elite shit. And we ain't even gotten to the poral yet. Man, all I can tell you is hold on to your butts. Edited December 6, 20241 yr by Funk Doctor Spock
