Man, and only half your order to boot!

Yeah, I don't have a problem with Rosa's. My grown ass boys still laugh about that day though.

Used to love Rosa's (and Taco Cabana), but last couple of times I went just was very bland. Kinda seems like what happens when a chain place starts opening up a lot of places.

People who stare down at their phones while walking. Seriously, walk a bit faster, get to where you want to go, then scroll to your heart’s delight.

I was walking behind a woman the other night. I sweater god that she got within 1’ of a wall, looked up surprised, and then quickly maneuvered around it. My daughter and I were cracking up and pretended to do the same every time we walked past the same spot.

One more rant while I’m recovering from jet lag…

On the subway, most young’uns will stay seated while an old person is standing next to them.

We took the subway a lot on this trip, and my 84 YO dad stood more than half the time because kids (teens thru 30s) either didn’t notice because they were doom scrolling, or simply didn’t care for the elderly.

I gave up my seat to anyone who looked older than me, and insisted they take it NOW before a kid sat down. Even my 75 YO mom gave up her seat to someone who looked older and frailer.

On one of the trips, a seat opened up and a 20 something kid went bee lining towards it. I physically blocked him and told him the seat was for my dad. Little fucker.

Overall the people there are nice, but shit like this makes my blood boil.

I hang with a group of 7 families who spend a lot of time together.  Eat, vacation, extra curriculars.  When we do stuff usually one family pays and everyone else Venmo’s them.  There’s always two guys that slow pays.   Could be 50.00 or 500.00

When we get together with the guys I grew up with, one wife is always super slow to Venmo things back - if at all.  I don't think it's intentional, but it's fucking annoying.

Yes.  It’s like don’t make me chase you down for 50 bucks but pay me.

Exactly.  And it's worse when you've been friends for 25 years, in each other's weddings, etc.  You feel like a prick asking, but I'm anal about never leaving any unfinished financial business.

Have a friend like this. You have to hound him, hound his partner, to get the payments. Like just do it when you get the request - I know he’s not hurting for money

Yeah.....that is fucking solid.  Both of my kids live in places where they take transit everywhere, and both of them are young (in their 20s).  They both know and promptly give up their seat to an older person.  And the boy does so for women as well, even if they're not much older than him.  I don't know if that's culturally local to them, but it's how they were raised here.

Shit, I remember 10,000 years ago, taking a shuttle bus back downtown from Texas-OU.  I had a seat with my now-wife, people got crammed on (mostly people our age, heavy on men, so wasn't immediately looking to give up my seat).  I look ahead about three rows, and a very pregnant gal is there, standing....and nobody next to her was making any move to give her a seat.  Fuck that.  I got up, and started working my way up towards her to tell her to take my seat.  Right after I got up, a dude makes a move to sit in my seat.  My wife immediately blocked him, and said "nope, this seat isn't for you," and he started to get huffy.  I work my way back with the pregnant lady in tow, motion her to my seat, and stared down the fucker, who fucking backed off as everyone else shame-stared him as well.  WTF was wrong with that asshole?  Oh, and yes, he was an okie.

Good for you for training your boy right.

I told my kids several times during the trip that they better get their ass up if they saw an old person anywhere around their seat. My son gave me the "Yeah daddy, you already told us a million times." and I'd respond "Great, now I'm telling you for the million and oneth time."

Those young'uns wouldn't even give up their priority seats that were reserved for the olds, pregnant women and disabled. I'd like to speak to their parents for their parenting failure.

Taiwan actually did a PSA campaign many years ago about the priority seats, had hilarious video ads. One was a lady with slightly overweight belly walking up to a younger guy sitting in priority seat, the guy sees her and says "Wow 3 months congratulations!!!" and stands up to let her sit and she beats the shit out of him with her purse.

Spoiler

For the slow readers in the room, she wasn't pregnant. Just fat.

The NCAA baseball social media people need to stop making such a huge deal about midweek "upsets" by small conference teams over P5 teams. The P5 squads are deep into their bullpen saving their primary starters for the weekend series while the small conference squad is far more likely to go all out to get a big win. And baseball is a game that in general is not a sport where a team can just dominate an entire season, there are going to be long stretches of scoreless innings, sometimes midweek against small conference squads. It's part of the game.

Ok Michael Earley.

Aggy is a complete dumpster fire having nothing to do with midweek upsets, lol.

One that gets me a few times a week - getting my pinky toe stuck while putting on shorts or underwear. No matter how much dancing you do, that fucker won't come loose.

I learned the hard way to never walk behind someone at the airport because, for whatever reason, people these days are prone to just coming to a screeching halt while walking. They don't even need to be on their phone they just stop as if their brain pulled the e brake as hard as they could. Seriously you can't just walk to the side of the walkway to find out where you're going? You have to stop right there in front of the guy (me) with the hot coffee? It's fucking infuriating.

Always amazed at the lack of self awareness and awareness of one’s surroundings people exhibit when walking through the airport.

People are trying to get from A to B. Get the fuck out of everyone’s way when you stop.

I go inside where all the hotties are in yoga shorts. Plus I am better at picking my own produce.

Trader Joe’s was a yoga pants rich environment this morning.

Wait a second. You said yoga shorts. I just googled yoga shorts and yeah… I’ll be in my bunk.

I got mad at my daughter for not contributing around the house, so I gave her the task of loading the dishwasher every night.

She complained about not knowing how to load the dishwasher, at which point I yelled at her saying "Figure it out! Your not stupid! If you still don't know, ask mommy, she'll teach you how to do it!

Nah... Just show the daughter how to load the dishwasher and your wife will likely complain about it (and you) and make sure your daughter does it the 'right' way (whatever that means to her)

Take heart, because even if you've showed them 100 times how to load the dishwasher, they'll still claim to not know how to do something. Or, on a different given day when you try and have them arrange things slightly differently, you'll get "DAD, I know what I'm doing," or my other favorite, "NO, mom told us to do it this way."

Just remove the dishwasher and put your dry goods sandwich supplies in the new "Mini-pantry."

A well trained dishwasher would never complain about how you put your load in her

I'm not sure having sex with your wife in front of your daughter is appropriate.   However, I agree that your wife will likely complain about it.

It's more likely that I'll be fornicating with the appliance, TBH...

(which probably explains why your second observation is accurate)
