Since when do you need your whole crew to grocery shop, especially since at least one is one their phone blocking the aisle anyway?

Kiddos needed some Speed Stick, too.

Lol, perfect timing.

We were at an amusement park yesterday (last hurrah before school starts). We were waiting in line for a rollercoaster. The line was in an enclosed space, and the guy in front of us smelled like he last showered in June. His hair was unkempt and plastered to his face. He was wearing a sweatshirt in 80+ degree weather and his white socks were more of a piss yellow color. That dude's aura of stink was of old sour sweat, Doritos, and fire balls. I pulled my kids back to stay 6' away and could still smell him. It was awful.

Mrs NNM and I were trapped behind a bohemian French dude on a tour of Notre Dame (the Parisian one, pre-fire). Those enclosed passageways, particularly the enclosed stone staircases up to and around the roofline, were horrific.  Your dude sounds like an air freshener compared to Frenchie.

So much this. We were hiking in Acadia last week, sometimes stopping to enjoy a pretty stretch of coast. This beautiful national park…and multiple dickheads had their speakers out playing their music. Yeah, I totally wanted to listen to Travis Scott instead of the surf and the birds and the GODDAMN FUCKING NATURE THAT IS THE REASON YOU GO TO THE WOODS.

This is mostly a Gen Z thing in my experience and a huge breach of etiquette in the hiking world.  I will absolutely tell them to not spoil someone else’s wilderness experience.

Dude. My wife likes my hair longer. It’s not “unkempt.”

People who go everywhere with their big headphones on. People being so disengaged from the world and the enshitification of the world probably has some connection. Similar to everyone glued to their phones (I'm a hypocrite).

I appreciate people wearing earphones so not to bother others, but I don't understand hiking with big noise cancelling headphones. Yes I know noise cancelling mainly reduces droning noises, and doesn't cancel out voices and such, but if I'm riding up behind you and yelling at you to move over and you're oblivious, then I have a big problem with that.

The only places I wear my big noise cancelling headphones are the gym (to drown out whatever music the front desk person picked out for the day or the grunts) and airplanes.

Otherwise, my Airpods are fine for listening to music while on a walk with the dog or at the office.

I love wearing my Noise Cancelling headphones.  Most of the time, I turn off ANC but wear them to hear notifications on my work machine, but people don't bother you when they see your headphones on.  Then the lazy coworkers show up and start yelling their conversations and the ANC button gets turned back on.

Have you seen my baseball?

Restaurants that act like they’re super busy to make it seem exclusive.    Parry of 7 Walk into a 1/4 restaurant, and they can’t seat us together.  “Lots of reservations “.  Lulz

Parry of 7, eh?

Soccer moms in their luxury SUVs talking and texting on their phones in traffic.  Almost got sideswiped into a concrete barrier on 360 a few weeks ago, and just yesterday noticed three of them talking on the phone yesterday alone.  It's especially egregious when they talk with their hand holding the phone on speaker when you know damn well that 2018 Toyota Sequoia has bluetooth capabilities.  Not to mention every instance I'm talking about is in a construction zone, which is hands-free.

APD, TCSO, and DPS, stop this stupid BS speeding kills campaign, and go after distracted drivers.  I'd bet you driving while texting or talking on the phone is on par with driving drunk, if not worse.  The ads talking about how 70% of crashes have speed listed as a factor... 100% of divorces have marriage listed as a root cause.  I'd bet you distracted driving could be north of 90% of all accidents.

Once again... on my commute to work, 2 lanes merge into 1. Normal people with logic, decency and common courtesy know the right move is to "zipper".

My blinkers are on for 30 seconds and my SUV is already moving left. The driver in the Lexus speeds up trying to cut me off.

Fuck you bitch. My SUV is bigger than yours. And this is a company car, I don't give a shit even if you hit me. It just means I get a new car earlier.

I've never understood people who wear headphones of any kind while walking, running, etc. I'm hyper vigilant about my surroundings and that includes listening to everything just in case. To me it's the equivalent of walking down the street with a blindfold on.

Dog: she’ll never find me in the produce she never shops there.

I was at that Walmart in Durango like 2 weeks ago. So this hits close to not my home

Js1 after next Walmart visit: Kale has bit of a wang in it… good, though.

Not trivial but it happens so damn much it has become so... speeding in neighborhoods.  I walk a lot in mine.  1 car out every 10 is probably driving the posted speed limit.  That is probably on the conservative side too.  There is never a reason to be driving 10-20 miles over the speed limit in a residential area.

I live in a hood where people blow past crosswalks while giving the cross guard the finger

People who walk or jog during school drop off/pick up hours, and use the crossing guards to stop traffic for them. Fuck you. You can do your workout at any other time of the day, but you choose to be a dick and inconvenience people who are already stressed at school traffic.

I live in a small gated community with 88 (Not that exclusive. It was to keep the coyotes out when the neighborhood was first built). The streets are 1/4 mile AT MOST, and some people will still speed around the corners.

Also... people who speed through parking lots. I mean WTF.

Ive started letting out a loud, EXCUSE ME, or CON PERMISSO, then going straight through the herd. I always leave my basket at the end of the aisle for tactical grocery acquisition so I can cut through with a few well placed shoulder checks if needed.

I started doing this about a year ago.

Also, if anyone is wondering who the lady walking down the very center of the aisle at HEB very slowly while stopping repeatedly to check prices. It's my wife. I've given up. We don't go to the grocery store together anymore

Yeah that irritates me too when I'm at the grocery store with her. She may have to start going by herself.

She's been in every aisle of my HEB every time I go. Also walking out through the parking lot right in the middle of the lane blocking as much traffic at possible.

There are times I have thought about wearing some headphones in places where it is really loud, but I haven't yet. It would help me out internally, but I like experiencing life and actively participating in the world around me when I can.

Adjusted accordingly

Man, went to Wally World over the weekend, and some 70 year old lady is in there with her golden doodle or some other hypo-allergenic breed.  No vest, no collar stating it's a service dog. Just a cunt rolling through the grocery produce area with the dog sniffing every damn thing.  Then on the way out the door, some blue / pink haired typical Austinite comes walking in with a chihuahua in her purse.  Can we normalize public shaming these snowflakes?

Being in between belt sizing.  I'm a 33" waist so 34' is short and 36" is way too big.

That is me with shirts/jackets.  I am a tweener with either a large or extra-large.  Depends on the maker and the particular cut.  I have to try everything on before purchasing.  The problem is that I go to a lot of conferences/expos/etc. where the company wants us to provide our size to them so that they can custom order the "uniform" so that we all match.  At issue is that there is a lack of consistency on the brand that is being sourced so I cannot with certainty provide an accurate size.  There have been times where I am dressed different from others because what I was given did not fit.  I am going to a conference in Peru next month where they are providing the sport coat.  Who knows if it will fit or not?

At a brewery awhile back that had a water jug and cups outside for folks and a lady was oblivious her leashed dog was standing there licking the water jug spicket while she was talking to people.
