Not sure this is exclusive to Dallas drivers but I've noticed a lot more people in this city try to anticipate the snap count when they are in the lane that is waiting on me to clear before they can either turn right or left or go from a stop, either a stop sign or stop light. So I'm trying to complete my turn off a busy street and almost get t-boned because jackass is so itching to get going that they may try to go straight through my car. I call it anticipating the snap count because it's almost as if they're trying to guess the exact moment I'll clear their car's path and go ahead and start moving. So they're banking on nothing holding me up with completing my turn or getting through the intersection.

yeah. our folks wait three more 'beats' then look at each other anxiously, while waving on the next driver.

People can be a little more expedient at intersections, if they just follow the law.

Instead it turns into 3 aggys arguing over Mensa questions.

Trivial things that make me surly -

That every time I bite into something even mildly sweet, it's like needles into the teeth on the bottom right side of my mouth.  I've been to the dentist twice in the past 4 weeks and he swears to god there's no cavity or anything that should cause that sensation.

Go see a neurologist. You might have trigeminal neuralgia.

People who have more than one campaign sign for the same candidate in their yard. Yeah, we get it, you really love Beto or Cruz a lot. You're not fooling anyone when you have them on the ends of your property line. We know that's not the neighbor's sign.

Campaign signs in general. The local library that my kids love to go to looks like Times Square now due to all the campaign signs. Ready for this shit to be over.

Speaking of signs: "We buy houses ###-###-####"

What is the point of switching lanes if there’s no one in front of you to pass, no exit ahead, and no cop coming up your ass?  Why do people just randomly switch with no justification?

Either getting ready to exit or turn (not immediately but soon or unsure exactly how soon) or on their phone and drifting into the other line and then playing it off as an intentional lane change.

I've done it before. Mostly if I'm on an interstate or divided highway something like that and just rolling along through countryside and coming up on an area where there's entrance ramps. Like Highway 6 going through college station may not be any traffic but I'll still move into the fast lane before I get into the area where there might be people merging onto the Highway.

People that move into the fast lane, but aren't passing anyone

The water source plays a significant role too.

Yep.  Go to a place that has crappy tasting water like Lufkin.  Their fountain drinks taste awful.

Giggity giggity

These fucking leaves falling.  On Sunday, as I was going over everything on my rider, the fucking leaves were falling all around me.  By Sunday evening, you couldn't even tell that I had done anything.  And now it's worse than it was Sunday morning.  I hate fall.

We can bring balls hot summer back if you like.

No, just want to jump straight to winter.  I am not exaggerating when I say that I have almost every square inch of my yard covered in leaves.  What I need to do is just cut all the stupid trees down.

Just don't cut down any of the smart trees

You hate that the things that give us oxygen need to shed dead stuff and rejuvenate themselves automatically so we all don't die?  Plus it's pretty as hell to look out.  Wow.

I hate that I have to deal with the leaves.  Yes, it makes me Surly.

Yeah.  We haven’t even started to rake ours up yet and still our tress are about 60% full of leaves still.

I’m sure the rider makes a bit easier, would hate to try that with a push mower.

You can save yourself some leaves to rake up by pruning all those branches that are pointed downwards.  Arborist 101

Those trees are so tall though.  I moved up here a few years ago.  This is the first place that I have lived as an adult that has an actual winter.  I never had this issue when living in Austin.  I'm still learning the ropes of living in yankee land.

Edited to add:  I just checked and I guess I should wait until late winter to prune.  Is that your thoughts, too?

Now it's your neighbor's problem.

I seriously tried using a blower my first fall up here.  That lasted for about an hour and then I got on the mower.

Yeah, trees get tall.  That's their job ;)

Seriously though before the dead of winter (between now and say MLK day)...at least prune the downward pointing branches and limbs.  It's better for you in the long run---less leaves, better shade canopy, healthier trees, and it just looks better.  Get a telescopic pruning saw and start with that.  You can also use rope felling for the taller ones.  Sounds like you're up north obviously, but there's always some hispanic day-laborers in every town looking to make a few extra dollars.

2015, which essentially the current design. Is it really that doable? I have been mulling it over. Not sure my arm is skinny enough to reach the negative post clamp way in the back, or if it will budge any without first removing it, or what else is behind there holding the battery in place. I have been unable to find a youtube video on it or even a Ford forum post for removing a battery from this model.

I guess I should clarify I have the 2012 3.7 v6 (sport model) 2WD.

People who can't manage to hold their line (or at least veer predictably) when walking in crowded places.

You need some better TP.

I prefer summer weather over winter.
Balls hot summer is the best time of year

I have never had to shovel the heat out of my driveway!  #teamsummer

When I eat at a restaurant and it's not too full so i choose a secluded area to eat either solo or with family, then Jimmy mcfuckface shows up with his fat bitch and 5 kids and they seat in the booth or table next to us. Out of all the seating why do you sit next to me. Same with parking.

Which is kind of my point. Actual, real prolonged winter of course sucks. We don't have that so there's nothing really to hate about it.

I've been snowed in for the weekend before with snow banks against the house that reached the roof.  It wasn't in Houston, of course, but it gave me a real appreciation for hot as balls weather.  I was very happy to sell my snow blower in a moving sale and get back home.

I’ve only had to shovel/snowplow my driveway about a 1,017 times a winter.  It’s not really that bad, you get used to it.

It doesn't even get cold in Texas.

wrong.

The Panhandle is basically southern Canada with nothing more than a barbed wire fence or two between it and the Arctic.

Temps in the 20's are cold.  Teens and single digits are plenty cold.

And the wind very seldom ever blows...

less than 20MPH.

I miss the winters in the Panhandle though, especially in July/ August of a Houston summer.
