Literally every program with a new coach does this.

Well deserved. Nice speech, too.

As usual, we're still the laughing stock

People on Twitter are so fucking stupid. Complaining about it. It’s literally free hype and publicity for our new head coach that will help recruiting. Recruits don’t give a fuck if it’s “Aggie” or not. Recruits see stuff like that and think damn that guy could coach me etc etc.

You'll notice the first Tweet is literally about how every school does this. It works for recruiting and since when do you care about those other mouthbreathers?

We’re not the laughing stock because of social media. We’re the laughing stock because we don’t develop players, put players into the nfl and put out award winners like we used to

Not only did Texas new coach produce the Heisman winner, but three of the top five vote getters.

Smith is a beast and very deserving. Can’t believe Desmond Howard was the last WR to win it 30 years ago

I had the exact same thought. That is a very aggy thing to do.

Texas does not ride coattails.

sorry, but that tweet is embarrassing

we should hire that guys coach

Well Saban is getting near retirement.

Well Sark did coach in Washington and the nation's #1 recruit is a DE from Washington who still isn't committed, so anything that helps (even if he is on the opposite side of the ball).  Now 247's #43 is uncommitted (but expected to go to LSU) and he is a WR from Louisiana.  And USC is the 100% favorite for an uncommitted Californian LB who is #67.  He could complete the trifecta with his former schools by flipping #26 who is a safety out of Florida who is choosing between Florida and Alabama.

Not as embarrassing as this shit...

Thank goodness there's a big green annoying banner on every page we view announcing the winner.  Otherwise I don't think most of us would ever learn the results.

If only every media outlet could bombard us with the news...and the internet was invented and Google was available to anyone who wished to use it....

Heard a great comparison to Smith last week. He is built like marvin Harrison. Has length but is a smaller guy that nobody can cover inside or out and catches balls that 6'4" guys usually only catch.
