One of my favorites is the opening sequence from "Justified". Great song choice/imagery. What are some of your favorites?

I liked the Sopranos and would listen every time.

On the other hand, I like the Peaky Blinders opening song (sometimes sung by different artists) and that there is no opening sequence - the song is just playing over a the particular episode's non-verbal opening.

Maybe not the best, but always got my ass to the TV

no but really, put me in for a vote for Peaky Blinders. Also the Simpson's is pretty iconic. Also Cheers.

lulz.

Almost all of the HBO shows are excellent.  Sopranos is the gold standard, IMO.

I love it when the opening credits perfectly sets the stage for the show you're about to watch.  In that vein, my all time favorite might be True Detective (season 1).... so perfect:

This right here.  I waited all week for the quick shots of the tanned Hawaiian girls.

Practically every damn song from a 1960's or 70's show was fan-fucking-tastic.

Pops and I were big fans of the NBC Mystery Theater, especially Columbo followed closely by McCloud and then McMillan & Wife(That Susan St. James, though).
