The Guardian clickbaited me with this shit and I regret having read it.  Her family are probably dead now, by age, but hopefully they're rotting in Hades.

On one hand, if you sympathize with her situation (not her action) that resulted in her doing this, a slippery slope says you should be open to the possibility that her step-parents should be afforded the same excuse.  On the other hand... fuck em.
