November 11, 20214 yr So Masvidal had to drop out of his fight vs Leon, and now Leon is saying he wants to wait until Usman comes back to fight for the belt (Usman said he'll take a longer than usual break). Yeah right, he needs to fight a top five contender. Burns makes the most sense. In the meantime, give Khamzat a Chiesa/Magny/Belal or maybe Luque level fighter so that he can justify fighting a top three or so guy after
November 14, 20214 yr Not to be a huge gaping Vag, once again, but that flying knee seemed excessive headhunting. You can see him recognize that the fight is over and that his opponent lacks the ability to defend himself. A couple of strikes would have also have gotten the referee to step in. Instead he thinks to himself...watch this! In the end this is an honor sport with real life consequences. If it happens in the muscle memory moment, fine. If there was bad blood and things said that can't be taken back, fine. But if you are willing to risk someones life for your clout, I don't know. Having said that, I don't know the context of the feud.
November 22, 20214 yr I didn't. I think I am finally over UFC. I stuck it.out as long as I could but the product is garbage now(well has been) with the over saturation. I don't have the time or care to invest in keeping up with this shit week in and week out. I will keep up with the big cards, and any that come to Houston I am sure I will attend, but all this filler shit is not for me anymore. Hell i couldn't even get back into TUF. I watched 2 episodes I think and bailed. Edited November 22, 20214 yr by Scraps
November 22, 20214 yr Author Man, I am in the exact same boat. I have ESPN+ for a lot of shit, but will not watch any card on there. If it’s on a real channel I’ll still record, then just FF to any finishes.

Never remember even 2 consecutive cards that were as bad these 5 Fight Night & UFC on Fox used to be badass. Now ill just catch half of the main card on numbered events.
November 23, 20214 yr Welcome to the fold amigos. I gave up years ago. I watched mostly because of my love for BJJ, but still loved the whole product. But when there is a fight every other weekend I just couldn’t keep up. Nor did I want to. Between my family, job, hobbies…just no time to care.

Can just skip to the final video of each bout and watch the final round only
November 24, 20214 yr Author Honestly, ESPN’s MMA Twitter is pretty much the plug. Short-ass clips of the finishes.

I watched 2 episodes I think and bailed. We've talked about this before, but I sure miss the old days of about 5 UFCs and 5 Prides a year. They were events. Hell, on some of those Pride cards, the 8th best fight would be the 2nd best fight on a PPV now. I was really excited to watch the sport grow and get mainstream acceptance, but I sure am bored with watching guys who would've been in Rage in the Cage back in the day on UFC cards today. November 27, 20214 yr Author Mir, Mitrione, & Mike Perry are fighting on a Triller card tonight at the Shed in Arlington, followed by a Metallica show. Kinda sums up both sports these days. https://trillerfightclub.com/fight-card/?affid=1643&utm_source=1643

December 3, 20214 yr Author Since there ain’t much CFB tomorrow, ESPN gets the whole card starting at 6. Aldo v. Font is the main. https://www.espn.com/mma/fightcenter/_/id/600011267/league/ufc/fightId/401377882
December 5, 20214 yr That. Was. Fucking. Awesome. The fight was and probably should have been stopped earlier, but Guida prevailed.
December 5, 20214 yr Flipped over twice tonight so far and managed to see a beatdown by Kape and now fucking Guida choke some black belt out
December 5, 20214 yr Flipped over twice tonight so far and managed to see a beatdown by Kape and now fucking Guida choke some black belt out To me, as a long time practitioner of BJJ, is the beauty of it. Every dog has his day. Sometimes you just push through and end up on top when everything says you shouldn’t.
December 5, 20214 yr My last comment I this fight. Aldo would absolutely own me, but I don’t understand why he was working for mount more than side control I that last round.
December 5, 20214 yr Aldo dominated after the first 4 mins of the fight...probably should have finished him there in the last 2 mins but i am sure he is tired as fuck lol
December 5, 20214 yr I know i talked shit recently about UFC but the fights I saw tonight were all pretty badass. Nice card.
December 7, 20214 yr I will keep up with the big cards, and any that come to Houston I am sure I will attendWelp I guess we are now locked into the rotation.Feb 12, 2022

December 8, 20214 yr decent event this weekend to watch: *Ryan Hall roll around like Sonic the Hedgehog *Dominick Cruz dance around trying to avoid getting KO by Pedro Munhoz *Tai Tuivasa who's always fun *love-hate Garbrandt stomp on the Kai Kara France hype trolley (i just hate the NZ team) *Ponzinibbio
December 11, 20214 yr OMG, these built in Proper 12 commercials keep harshing my buzz. I'm so used to my ad blocker working, and then all of a sudden I'm worried about my lucky charms.
December 11, 20214 yr Yup, looking forward to this one. Two scheduled ass whippings on the main card (Nunes and Sugar Sean), but the other three all have potential to be great fights.
December 11, 20214 yr Minner has a ton of fight experience but doesn't seem bright. Needs to read some Sun Tzu
December 12, 20214 yr I sure would like to see Eryk Anders get KTFO'd tonight. And any other night. But Muniz doesn't knock anybody out, so how about a nice broken arm? Edited December 12, 20214 yr by TexArcher
