April 10, 20223 yr Props to Sterling. He was going to lose the first fight. He came back and deserved this win.

April 10, 20223 yr Did yan say he won the second? That fool left a lot of meat on the bone. He deserved to lose

For Yan it wasn't. That's fair. Yan is a notoriously slow starter and it cost him tonight. I still think he won the first round. Octagon control matters and Yan was pursuing while Aljo retreated. If neither guy landed much, that round is supposed to go to the aggressor. But maybe I need to see it again. 1 minute ago, Scraps said: Yeah Yan didn't do shit either. Overall the fight was lame I mean, I really don't care if I ever see another Aljamain Sterling fight. He's extremely skilled at neutralizing what the other guy wants to do and getting the fight into positions where he (Aljo) wants it. But god damn, he makes me wish I hadn't quit smoking so I could go outside for half an hour until the next fight.

The two rounds you call boring, he completely dominated his opponent. Yan turned it around though. I didn't know who won.

Never got close to a submission and didn't throw any meaningful strikes.

You wouldn't have to worry about wrestling offending you there.

April 10, 20223 yr Volkanovski is just too good for Jung. Big mismatch. I felt pretty certain Holloway won their first fight but Volkanovski has been a beast ever since. Those submissions get escaped from Ortega were ridiculous
April 10, 20223 yr Man, his corner could stop this for him. Zombie's a tough mother, but damn, he's not turning this around.
April 10, 20223 yr Yeah, that's enough. Not sure why he needed to eat those extra shots. Volkanovski is ridiculous.
April 10, 20223 yr Volkanovski came on too late but would have loved to see him and pre-Mayweather McGregor throw down.
April 10, 20223 yr BIG WINNERS: - Volkanovski - Chimaev - Burns - Dern - Malott BIG LOSERS: - Sterling - Yan - Korean Zombie - Garry - Ladd
April 10, 20223 yr Volkanovski vs winner of Charles Olivera and Gaethje at 155. Book it. Edited April 10, 20223 yr by Hermanator

April 10, 20223 yr I don't believe that at all. Gastelum was the interim champ at 185 at 5'9" and gave Adesanya a war. Volkanovski was playing pro rugby at over 210 lbs. McGregor held both 145 and 155 simultaneously. If Volkanovski wants to prove he's up on that level and challenge himself that's the next step. No one at 145 outside of Holloway would be a challenge for him at this point.

April 10, 20223 yr Didn't expect Aljo to out wrestle Yan that bad. If he can do that to the #1 contender then he deserves the belt. Colby wishes he could do that to a champ. Khamzat got tested, what a great fight. Respect to Durinho. And if Kahmzat is showing that he's just about even on Burns' level, then he's not on Usman's level.
April 10, 20223 yr Dana did not like (or agree with) that aljo decision. Feel like you don’t usually see him that vocal about his opinion in what was clearly a close fight
April 10, 20223 yr I'm pretty sure there were already some tensions there which caused Dana to put on an interim championship fight.
April 16, 20223 yr Anybody watch Bellator? Big rematch tonight between McKee and Pitbull on Showtime. Wish we could get the winner of that vs Volkanovski. But too much greed to ever stage co-promotions.
April 16, 20223 yr Author And Showtime is free this weekend for those that don’t already have it. Main card at 9. https://www.espn.com/mma/fightcenter/_/id/600016587
April 16, 20223 yr I always hated it in boxing when guys would walk in with a rapper. Hate it here too. Therefore gotta go with Pitbull to win.
