April 14, 20241 yr Edit: Also heard in the post-fight Max Holloway interview that somehow the knockdown was somehow officially not scored a knockdown, so my understanding is Max has still never even been knockdown-ed. Insane. Finished via armbar by Poirier. Edited April 14, 20241 yr by JohnnyRage

Max had no reason to take that risk against a guy who throws bombs like Justin, and he did it because he's a warrior and a showman. Amazing.

April 16, 20241 yr What an event. Well worth the PPV buy. The fact that you had two former champs in Garbrandt and Figuereido leading off the early prelims was insane. Holloway and Gaethje. Dang. That spinning kick to break JGs nose obviously changed JGs plan. You could tell he couldn’t breathe and was trying his darndest to not let his nose get touched. Max looked fantastic and that finish? Unreal. Loved to see it, but hated to see JG face down on the mat for so long. Poatan is just a scary human being. Advising Herb to stand back then landing the KO right after was amazing. Is Charles done? Not that old but has a lot of mileage. He needs to rethink being able to pull guard on these dudes that are just so strong on the ground. Thought he had him twice though. Arman clearly won every minute in between though. Still, always love to watch Do Bronx fight. They need to match up Nickal with Khamzat to eliminate one of them from relevance. Hopefully Whitaker can do that to Khamzat first. I thought Jiri was going down and he came back and took out Rakic. Good on him. Probably matches up with Jamahal now I would think. 301 looks terrible so I bet they try to shoehorn Poatan on that card to try and save it. Probably not enough time though.
April 28, 20241 yr Russian Anthony Smith (Guskov) is more dangerous than the real Anthony Smith. Ha, even acknowledged it in his post fight, 'Going to the top, Mother Fucker' interview. Edited April 28, 20241 yr by JohnnyRage
May 2, 20241 yr Oh, damn, man. Heartbreaking, and I hope Francis and family are getting some help with this. Just fucking awful.
May 11, 20241 yr @Patricio Swayze would have loved the grappling displayed by Chase Hooper in the headliner of the early prelim, but also the grit and guts of Borschev to hang in there. 10-8 first and probably would have been a 10-8 second before the mildly controversial stoppage.
May 11, 20241 yr So I turn on theirv talking about this Despaign dude like he's dangerous... He just got his ass put out of the UFC.
May 12, 20241 yr I sense a theme... This Rebecki dude was -400 and got destroyed he won about 3 minutes then got dominated. Am I just catching upsets, or are these guys fighting average dudes and knocking them out and moving up, then coming on a big weekend against real fighters and getting split? Rebecki was supposed to be the surest win on the night and got smashed and outworked by an old dude. Edited May 12, 20241 yr by Slacks Swypos
May 12, 20241 yr So, I'm behind because I rewound, but I just watched a guy, who was supposedly ranked #11 in LHW, run with his head down and eyes closed into the fence... Then he got knocked out. So, now, this olberg dude that won in 12 seconds is going to be #11 and I don't even think there was a fight.... And this guy has won 6 in a row... What is going on in the UFC?
May 12, 20241 yr this card has been highly entertaining. hoping for a Derrick Lewis KO to cap it off. Edited May 12, 20241 yr by BigOrange1
May 12, 20241 yr Wtf is this? Ok. I think I have it figured out. If people will watch this level of free UFC, you let the commercials post for it, while promoting the PPC The fights were actually ok to watch. I'd watch (fall asleep watching, like I did several times tonight) this on Saturday nights when there isn't football or playoffs of NBA games to watch.

June 1, 20241 yr On 3/23/2024 at 11:41 PM, Scraps said: Then biter gets cut from ufc Then Dana gives dude who got bit a "i got fucking bit" bonus Then dude goes and gets the bite tatted lmao Missed weight by 5 lbs to open Newark.
June 2, 20241 yr Poirier needs to retire after this fight. Watching him in an interview he's looking punchy and having some speech patterns altered from previous interviews back during the McGregor fights. Already irreversible damage done but if he gets out now he can hopefully mitigate it. Edited June 2, 20241 yr by Hermanator
June 2, 20241 yr I use the adblocker uBlock. This link might by a a little click ad-sy without one, but is my usual go to for sporting events. Working for now. https://thesportsupa.com/tsupa/2024/nba-cax1/

He also just defeated one of the most dangerous up and comers in his division to be in this position. In this fight he's going to need to take a lesson from Volkanovski to ride out the on the back position and get deeper into the fight. Else, gonna have to stun him well timed strikes. June 2, 20241 yr Damn...props to that dude Holland was fighting. No tap. Was gonna just fucking roll one armed
June 2, 20241 yr I've never watched and never will watch Power Slap. I don't get it. But Dana is acting like it's blowing up.
June 2, 20241 yr This would be a devastating setback for Strickland if he can't pull this off. I think 3 rounds is a disadvantage. Disregard the 3 rounds, someone misspoke earlier this week. Edited June 2, 20241 yr by JohnnyRage
June 2, 20241 yr Kind of a typical Sean Strickland win. I did like the eventually emulation of the 'Johnny Come Marching' of the fake teep kick with every single step forward once he decided that he was done eating calf kicks. That use of the right leg to cross check a kick was beautiful.
June 2, 20241 yr They're really going out of their way to show that 34 count convicted felon Trump every chance they can get and kiss his criminal ass. As buttoned up and corporate as TKO keeps it with the WWE you'd think they tell Dana to knock that shit off. Just plays right into the stereotypes of the uneducated, uncivilized, meathead persona of MMA.
June 2, 20241 yr Dammit the main event starting while Longhorns baseball is at the top of the 11th against Aggies
June 2, 20241 yr These "gold" or beige gloves are distracting. Reminds me of "gloved hands" on cartoon characters.
June 2, 20241 yr Khabib is gonna make Islam run 200 miles naked in the snow cause he let Dustin get up
