What are your songs that when they come on, you can’t turn the volume up loud enough to satiate?   I know there are many, but I’ll lay down a few

- Burden in My Hand, Soundgarden

-Dear Mr. Fantasy , Traffic/Winwood

-Bring it on Home, Zeppelin

-The Boxer, S & G

-Lonsome, Onry & Mean, Waylon

like I said, there are many.   Just needed to put a few from different eras/ ideas of rock and see what y’all think

Pride - U2

Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones

Bloodzuzz Ohio - The National

Good call on Burden in my Hand.

Man in The Box - Alice in Chains

Detroit Rock City - KISS

You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC

Hysteria - Muse

I'll Wait - Van Halen

Tons more but I'll give others a chance to chime in

I have so many. All of my home gear is set up for TV and movies instead of music, so my current favorite place to crank up the jams is my car. The B&O system in my Audi sounds really good. Some faves to add to the list:

Dire Straits - Money For Nothin’

Rogue - Rattlesnake

Chevelle - Take Out the Gunman

Steely Dan - Peg

Megadeth - Kick the Chair

Devin Townsend Project - Deadhead (Live)

Ghost - Majesty, Rats

The Donnas - Take It Off

Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen

well that takes me back.  thanks.

A couple that come to mind for me:

Well, my speakers, and my amp go to 11 so I can listen to all of it louder...

Yes, but why not just buy a pre-amp that has 10 already as one louder, and just have that be the top number?

I'm listening to this right now over my new badass headphones because I have small kids, but can't wait to crank it up one day soon over an open household system, and get my little girls into proper rock 'n roll.  Just listen to this even at medium volume and think about how, without looking it up, this song could be from last year or 1968:

All My Life - Foo Fighters

Albatross - Corrosion Of Conformity

Halloween - Ministry

Forty Six & 2 - Tool

Duality - Slipknot

I Get It - Chevelle

Unsung - Helmet

Zero - Smashing Pumpkins

Prayer - Disturbed

Oh yeah, reminds me of this one:

Great song to test speaker systems with.  Good LP + good record player + good speakers = perfection.

It's one of my neighbor's favorite songs, whether they like it or not.

Damn, I think I'd be friends with 98% of y'all!

I'll add Jesus Built My Hotrod, FBLA 2 - Helmet, Fight Fire With Fire & Whiplash

When these come on the radio, the conversation stops and the volume goes up.  It is known.

When the Levee Breaks -- Zeppelin

Tom Sawyer -- Rush

Paint It Black -- Rolling Stones

Fire -- Jimi Hendrix

Paradise City -- Guns N' Roses

Man in the Box -- Alice in Chains

Schism -- Tool

Everything by SRV

Led Zeppelin - Good Times Bad Times and Hots on for Nowhere

Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knockin', Monkey Man, Memo from Turner

Beatles - Golden Slumbers -> The End

Soul Hat - Bonecrusher

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Room at the Top

Jimi Hendrix - Bold as Love, Long Hot Summer Night, Like a Rolling Stone at Monterey

Guns n Roses - Rocket Queen

Son Volt - Drown

Faces/Rod Stewart- Stay with Me, Every Picture Tells a Story

Van Halen - Panama

Probably more.

Exactly. My system plays loud as fuck if I want to crank it up.  Then again it’s pushes 300 watts into my 6 ohm speakers.

This one right here, but I'll say this, the WetSounds on my boat give it a helluva run ---

Speaking of Alice in Chains...

Them Bones

Black Sabbath - War Pigs (especially live from Paris 1970)
Fugazi - Suggestion
Slayer - Angel of Death
Soundgarden - 4th of July
Alice In Chains - Would
Sepultura. Propaganda
Kyuss - Gardenia
Fu Manchu - Cyclone Launch
Eyehategod - Blank
Jane’s Addiction - Stop
Converge - Reptilian
Black Flag - The Bars
Vicente Fernandez - El Rey
Spiritworld - Godless
Shallow North Dakota - Target
Quicksand - Dine Alone

That is a good start.

Back in Black - the whole album

Put it on with good headphones and just marvel at the guitar tones and the quality of the recording. Sounds like God.

neil young- cortez the killer

Van Halen - Drop Dead Legs

Queen - It’s Late, Dragon Attack

Stones - Can’t you hear me knockin’

Led Zeppelin - Out on the tiles, Royal Orleans, Good times, Bad Times

Rush - Limelight, Countdown, New World Man, Beneath Between and Behind

Rod Stewart - You’re My Girl

Humble Pie - Hot and Nasty

Yes - Yours is no disgrace

Basically everything Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol writes is made to played at extreme volume, but to narrow it down:

The Cincinnati Tilt
Burger Babes…From Outer Space

Also, Cave In - Sing My Loves

The first 45 seconds of this song alone is worth the price of admission when the speakers are maxed out:

Tower of Power....So Very Hard To Go

ABB....Statesboro Blues

Stones....Sympathy For The Devil

Skynyrd...On the Hunt

SRV....Texas Flood

Sam Cooke....Change Gonna Come

ZZ.....A Fool For Your Stockings

....way more

What a great fucking riff by Slash.
