Lisa Edelstein still got it. I like the new Lead Paramedic. The writing is still shit. LA County still doesn't look like Austin and there are no lava flows.

I feel like I can participate in this thread since I've seen the promo ad about 30 times now.

I doubt crossbow bolt would have gone completely through his leg at that range, especially considering that it was being fired at a severe upward angle.

I love this show.  It's over-the-top goofy, but fun.

Yes, Lisa Edelstein is still hot.  Nice addition.

I really wonder why they chose to shoot this is LA vs Austin.  I'm sure that even with out TFC incentives it would still be tons cheaper to shoot here.

If you happen to be a fan of their movie mocks at the Alamo Drafthouse during pre-COVID times, Master Pancake hosts a mock of this show live on their Twitch channel.  Makes this terrible show even more goofy fun to watch.

You know it's complete garbage when the woman last season brings Cooper's to the firehouse as a thank you, claiming it to be "the best smoked brisket in Texas."

Show’s still hilariously awful.

Volcano in Austin, love the Palm Trees.

We'll just let this chunk of lava sit on the guys bare chest while it melts our metal tools. He'll be fine. Meanwhile the firefighter in full turnout gear is killed instantly.

We started watching the regular 911 when we ran out of other stuff earlier. It’s not nearly as terrible, even though it’s just as ridiculous. Almost like the writers and actors understand LA better than they do austin.

While waiting for the old lady, I inadvertently let the volcano episode start. After the opening pool scene, I just and to record for the WTF ... I feel like I'm watching live "SpongeBob" where baked writers just sit around thinking of the most ridiculous, insane ideas and then go "why the hell not, let's see if anyone calls us on it." I mean the "Buster Keaton" and "Buster the Cat" was such a nice touch.

I know I'm probably missing some unintentionally funny shit, but as an Austin Firefighter, I just can't bring myself to watch this ridicularity.

Yeah, have none of y'all been to McKinney Falls?

I think the Knob Pilot is in South Austin...by somebody's mom.

Dude, it was a joke on 'Knob Pilot' and South Austin's mom because while she drives a hard bargain, she drives an even harder knob.

Anyway, whoever the local location scout/technical consultant is to this show should get a fucking Emmy next year.

"Hey we're making a show about firefighters set in Austin.  Can you help us out with the local landscape, customs, accents, etc.?  You come highly recommended by Austin Film Society!"

(Jerky Boys voice):  "Yeah, I know all that shit.  The fucking desert on the way into town, the mountains, volcanos, palm trees, fucking typhoons, we got all this shit tough guy.  You come down here, I show you all that shit mister hollywood.  You sound good, you and me...we make a team.  I teach you about the accents and the lingo 'n shit.  They're good down here, real good.  You'll see.  Okay, I'll see you a little later there Nitz."

What was that...30 sticks of dynamite? LOfuckingL

They did get a couple of things right.  The drive time from LA to San Angelo was reasonable and the crystallization on the outside of the dynamite was correct.

There isn’t a Rudy’s Ribs in Fort Stockton. Never has been.

There's also no humidity in San Angelo.

It was a good thing there weren't any wildfires in Cali that needed help.

You're really gonna love season 3 then.  Showrunners tell me the Firehouse heads out to California with their intimate knowledge of Jewish Space Lasers.
