January 28, 20214 yr Author Age of Empires IV is still being worked on: https://www.ageofempires.com/news/aoe2020-review/ As for more expansions for AOE II, depends on how well this expansion does. When they did the technology upgrades, they had expansions in mind.
January 28, 20214 yr Dunno nuffin bout it except it was originally developed in Dallas by a bunch of horns.
January 28, 20214 yr I thought the whole point of a "definitive edition" was that it was... well, definitive? Pretty soon every village in Europe will have its own civ, lol. Meanwhile they just lumped all the kingdoms of India and China together and called it a day 😒

November 28Nov 28 Author Those were awesome additions @satyanash and have not tried the original AOE empire but might over the holidays next month. Edit: Not sure why it's not embedding, but here goes again, there's a brand new DLC that just came out as well: I know it's still a popular game, but damn, that is awesome. December 8Dec 8 I have fond memories of the original. One of the first games I played online extensively. 3v3 on the Microsoft Internet Gaming Zone. Never really got into part II as it came out around the time Everquest took over my life. Might have to check this out.

II is amazing and addressed most of the issues in the original and really added/expanded the gameplay. And the 4K update is fantastic. You should really try it.

But you could replace those files with .wavs of whatever you wanted, so we constantly messed around. I think people uploaded packs of sound clips. My friend and I were obsessed with Face/Off at the time, so I recorded a bunch of lines straight off the TV and made my own pack. Nonstop back and forth, "peach. I could eat a peach for hours."
December 10Dec 10 Another new DLC was just announced, to be released in 2026. The Last Chieftains - adds three new civilizations, the Mapuche, Muisca and Tupi. The campaigns are centred around the Spanish conquest of the Americas.

That's hysterical that you could play online against people with different files in your directory.
