Would be interesting. Allen would have 100% control of GOP funding and messaging, and would have quite a bit of the GOP establishment backing him.  Chad would have the hardcore magats, which are far more enthusiastic than the establishment/long-time R types.

Let's just hope that this plays out as a part of the broader GOP civil war that's shaping up.  Donnie will only pick one primary candidate to support.  My bet is on the talkshow guy.
