too early for flapjacks?

Phil : What would you do if you were stuck in one place and every day was exactly the same, and nothing that you did mattered?

Ralph : That about sums it up for me.

I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life.

This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off waiting to worship a rat. What a hype. Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town. They used to pull the hog out, and they used to eat it. You're hypocrites, all of you!

My dad is in his mid-70s, and absolutely loves Bill Murray. Each year at 5:59 a.m. on February 2, my siblings, my cousins, and I receive in a group text from my dad the 5:59 Sonny and Cher clip from the movie.  🙂

I think people are too focused on their careers. I think we should all live in the mountains at high altitudes. What about you?

Phil is fine. He saw his shadow. It was a New Jersey knockoff that kicked the bucket.

My DVD would be better if it had a director’s commentary feature with Harold Ramis and Bill Murray discussing the film. Or Ramis and co-writer Danny Rubin. That would’ve been awesome.

This still might be my favorite delivery of any line in any movie.

I’m starting to think his dad told him to say it before he got outta the car. But I took my daughter’s groundhog stuffy to Dropoff duty this morning at her elementary school and made it look like he was holding the stop sign.  And a kid got out and asked ‘Ned Reyerson’? To me.  I don’t know the young man but I’m betting dollars to donuts he ends up being class president one day.

such a wonderful film. And I’m always reminded today to make amends with people the way Ramis and Murray made up at Harold’s deathbed.  Even if we are in a simulation.

No. No one heard from Dad, so my sister went to check on him. He slept through his alarm.
