This throw deserves the MLB thread.

  • So in 2009, my daughter and I were in Omaha at the CWS.  I got an email from her softball coach saying that they had a kid drop off the All-Star team and would she want to replace her?  But she'd have

That nacho home run was pretty funny.

I hope that ball is worth it. Looks like it stained a nice jacket and ruined some high dollar nachos. Damn.

Turner apparently sent him new nachos and the TV announcer took him a new Dodgers hoodie.

Upper Westside will be here soon to tell you how clever and great fans Yankee fans are.

He’s got a story to tell and the internet to prove it. Gotta be worth something.

What was Heyman referencing?

Has to be a record for AAA plate appearances, right?

And holy shit at having the West Oahu Canefires on your resume.

Jesus that is either dedication or stupidity....not sure which i lean more towards lol

7 inning doubleheaders are so fucking stupid. I hope Manfred gets AIDS.

Nice little pitchers' duel at the new Jack Murphy between Kershaw and Darvish.  The Dodgers are up 1-0 in the 6th on *checks notes* an rbi walk by Kershaw.

Edited by WBT

Darvish just went stupid like he frequently does and forgot that he can throw a fastball.  With 2 outs, hit McKinstry in the foot, gave up a blooper to Raley, walked Barnes, walked Kershaw, all without ever throwing a 4-seamer.

He did foul off some tough pitches

Just your everyday 1-5-6 double play

Votto should have run to 3rd for the unassisted triple play.

I didn't think about that but he really should have.  Also, wtf was Rosario doing?  It looked like on replay he had frozen a couple of steps off 3rd and was staring at Votto making the catch...and then he decides to take off for home?

Quote

In MLB, a total of fifteen players have fielded an unassisted triple play,[3] making this feat rarer than a perfect game.[4] Of these fifteen players, eight were shortstops, five were second basemen and two were first basemen.

Great career with the Reds and Mets.  So I'm sure they'll  try to claim he's a career Yankee after his long stint in the Bronx.  Special bag of dicks to choke on for anyone who signs with the Yankees in the off-season knowing they've only got a few weeks of baseball left in them according to their doctors...just so they can retire a Yankee.

Fuck the Yankees.  Cheering for the Yankees is like pulling for the cops at a protest.

Fuck I miss him in a Sox Jersey, but I watch more and more Dodgers games just to see him play.

How much longer til Boone is fired?

Even though not sure what anyone expected with that shitty pitching staff they assembled

$350 million contracts are almost never worth it.  But in Betts’ case, that may be an exception.

Dodgers on the verge of a sweep of the uppity Padres, and 9 straight.  Lotta game left but Bauer is dealing.

In game interviews are one thing.  In game interviews taking up the full GD screen is a whole nother thing.

I may have been a bit premature

NL East has started underwhelming. Nats need Lester back and Stras healthy. Weird to see the starting pitching struggle, but Nats bullpen actually solid.

Mets won’t be pace setters for long. Braves under performing expectations- but it’s really early

Patriots Day.  Gotta love morning baseball.  BOS is already up 8-1 though.

One of the greatest days of my life -- Patriots Day, 2004.  The Yankees were in town, and I ran the marathon with "JETER SUCKS" written on my shirt in giant letters.  Other than the Hoyts, I was the most popular guy on the course.

I was at opening day, and the rings they got were comically large.  Like a ring pop.

Now pitching for the White Sox... Yermin Mercedes.

In the 7th inning.  And Franchy Cordero stole off of him.
