This throw deserves the MLB thread.

  • So in 2009, my daughter and I were in Omaha at the CWS.  I got an email from her softball coach saying that they had a kid drop off the All-Star team and would she want to replace her?  But she'd have

20 seats directly behind home plate already vacated.

Douches.

Should have First Row Amy in one of them.

I am guessing that because there is nothing out there to block any wind, that any ball hit above the pressbox is gone.

Incredible.

Starting right now. Costner just walked on to the field from the corn stalks. Production is kind of over the top with the drama. On Fox.

Someone’s jealous their team doesn’t get to play in a cornfield today. Fuck houston.

Yes. I'm mad. Madder than I've been. Furious even.

The original house over the right field wall is really cool.

No shit.

I can’t believe I listened to rangers fans tell me Joey Gallo was good. Jesus Christ he’s a beating to watch. At least he didn’t strike out there.

Just turned this on.  I don't get it.  Seems like more stupid manfred bullshit.  And Joe Buck as a bonus.

these drone shots are fucking amazing.

NHL tried to extend things with the Winter Classic and that was and continues to be a great spectacle.

But this is a different level.  Akin to building a stadium on some backward county road in Jarrell and bringing a MLB game to it.

Only idiots would call this gimmicky.   It's actually cool as shit.

Did that dumbass really take a bite of a raw ear of corn?

I enjoy seeing Hendriks get bombed on

You just know these fans are praying against extras as they have to be up at 3AM to tend to their farms.

I read your post. Thought to myself "he's probably right." Checked the live odds and it was +557 so i threw down a whopping $5, lulz.

Picking the winning lottery numbers is highly unlikely.   Calling a blown save by the Yankees’ pen… not so much.

Hell yeah.

That was an incredible 3-4 hours.   Damn.

Yeah, this won't be the last MLB game in Iowa.

Fucking love you man

The whole thing was just fucking perfect. Tip my hat off to you MLB, what a great night, and hell of an ending.

That’s the first full baseball game I’ve watched since Rangers in WS & it was much better. I might watch another full game next time there”s one in Iowa.

just got done replaying Anderson's HR for the 50th time. epic. just an all around epic game, with an epic ending. that's as good as they could have hoped for when they put this thing together.

That’s I believe the 68th blown save by the Yankees in the past 3 games or something. I knew it was over the second I saw a Yankee pitcher on the mound with a lead in the ninth. Motherfuck. And I’m fully on board the Gallo hate train. Dude is utterly useless, walk in the 9th be damned.

The MLB needs more games like this, every year. I personally hated that game but I can see how a regular fan would like it. A sandlot inspired game in some downtown area would be awesome.

Manfred has already said they will be back next year

Needs to be an annual game.

Pretty cool angle of the homer and even better angle of the Yankees dugout reaction.
