Texas is going to be insanely good in central midfield next year with Grosso and Stroup.

Stroup is really good at finding pockets of space in the midfield. Dollas is a perfect fit in that defensive central midfield role but Stroup and Grosso are just different level players from a technical perspective.

Kelly said we played our best soccer on Friday night and I don't disagree. She's right we kept possession, had great spacing, and looked really technical against OU.

2 home games to get acclimated with the team again (Kansas team weekend) before @ Tech.  Then we can make a conference tournament run with our full team.  If we can finish 6-2-1 we would probably finish 3rd

It will be interesting to see the minutes distribution tonight because even though the Canadians are back they probably aren't fresh.

They will likely be on a minutes restriction tonight.

Grosso and Regan back in the starting lineup. Kansas is a quality squad. This will be another battle as all these Big 12 matches are.

Dollas finishes the PK. 1-0 Texas.

Glad to have the Canadians back. Regan created the PK opportunity. She's so good at running at players on the wing.

Hintzen has some type of injury. Her entire leg is wrapped up. Looks like her night is done.

Great ball from Adams and Berg finishes with 5 minutes to play. 2-0 Texas.

We still haven't lost when we've had both the Canadians.

The Big 12 tournament is going to be a bloodbath. The two bottom feeders will stay at home (ISU and K-State) which means 7/8 teams in the Big 12 tournament are currently being projected as NCAA tournament teams. OU isn't bad either.

All 8 teams could win the Big 12 tournament and we will likely be playing a round of 32 quality opponent in the quarterfinals.

Just got home from the game with fam. In the stands it felt like ku controlled the game but we were able to finish and they could not. It was beautiful soccer weather. Kids had a great time. Hook'em!

Up to #9 in RPI. Kind of sucks we were without the Canadians for so long because we would definitely be challenging for a 1 seed.

1-1 tie with OK State, 2-1 loss to WV, and 1-0 loss to TCU without the Canadians. We probably get some type of result in at least 1 of those matches if not 2 with Grosso/Regan. Just one of those results in the TCU/WV match would probably have us top 5 in RPI.

Grosso scores her first goal for Texas!

2 goals!

Granted we didn’t have the strongest conference home schedule (Tech, WV, OSU and TCU on the road) and LBSU was our toughest nonconf foe but still

Grosso would be the leading goal scorer on the team if they played her at forward or in a more attacking midfield position.

But we have plenty of goal scoring threats. The key is finding central midfielders that can maintain possession and link up with the forwards out of the midfield instead of playing kick ball. Which is why Grosso is probably the most important player on the team. She’s the engine that makes the entire machine run.

How does the team work when half of it goes off to play for Canada next year?

FIFA World Cup is in the summer and ends in July. CONCACAF qualifying for Tokyo is in February 2020.

I seem to recall a little East Coast road trip early in the season...

Only thing that  interferes with Texas is the world cup qualifying which only happens every 4 years. If they play in the World Cup that's in the summer before the Texas season starts.

@ Texas Tech on Thursday is going to be a battle because Tech is right on the bubble. Any type of result would likely get them in the tournament.

I won't be surprised if we lose to Tech.

This is a must win game for Tech so they are going to be all in on trying to produce a result.

This low camera positioning is tripping me out compared to the LHNs lol. Can’t see much of the field this way

They're allowing tech to get away with a ton of fouls tonight. This turf sucks. Our back 3 on defense scare the heck out of me. Adams is having a rough night. Lubbock sucks.

Jesus these Tech players are tackling our players. Give some yellow cards.

TT is one bush league team. It's on this ref for not calling these fouls early, now its out of hand. That is 3 fouls that can cause serious injury and only 1 yellow.
