How would a college team vs. a pro team be at all competitive?

Not saying the match will be competitive but this is almost commonplace in other NCAA sports during the off season. The basketball and volleyball teams are playing pro teams whenever they go on their European tours. The Japanese Softball team (2nd in the world) also played University of Florida this year in the preseason. There's also a lot of amateurs playing pro tournaments in golf and tennis.

I know some of us held out hope of Huitema selecting Texas but she has elected to go Pro.

Another top local Texas product Samantha Meza recently selected UNC. Strange choice personally as she has grown up in a possession game her whole youth career. I understand though as it is tough to find a top program committed to possession. Would be curious is Florida State was a choice for her? Would have been a better fit imo.

Unfortunately, Texas is definitely more UNC style than FSU though one hopes that changes in the years as talent has the capability to play different styles.

Tough to take anything away from last nights game but it was great for the kids and the weather was perfect. Lots of fb players out supporting the girls.

Berg has 10 goals this spring.

3-2 win today vs coughigh. Could have been a 3-2 loss as uh hit post square and ball bounced nicely back to our GK with about 6min to go. Should have been an 8-2 win for us but we are not that good at putting the ball in the net.

We are very talented but don't play tough, when our girls try to play tough they make some dumb mistakes because they're just not trained to play a physical style of soccer. We also lack finishers, get lazy and careless with the ball too often. Curious to see who is coming in the fall that can play.

We have a lot of ?'s beyond Hintzen, Grosso, Regan & Jett.

Just realized we added Teni Akindoju in the '19 class. Another Canadian that's legit. She's as good as Grosso and Regan so she will play early.

She's been playing with Huitema in a lot of these international tournaments with Canada. Here are a few clips.
