  • It matters from a sentimental and psychological perspective. They're a blue blood that has owned the league (and us) since its inception. Going 2-0 against them is a big deal, and we have people in th

Don’t care how below par Texas has been playing. Don’t care how bad Kansas is this season. It’s really fun to beat them twice.

at this point, this is like saying, "yeah, it's true- you have a terminal cancer that is going to kill you slowly and painfully. but you did just win $50 on a scratch off, and that doesn't happen ofte

That's a lot of seniors.  With Kai and Brown also both likely to depart and our current recruiting class of 0 we may be f*cked next year.

If we get a new coach they'll have a blank canvas; not sure if that's good or bad.

Don’t we have 4 players coming in?

Don't follow it that closely but I believe it was Wells (maybe?) said 0 on Craig Way's show.

I hope I'm wrong.

Yep, signed four players last fall.

I didn't listen to Wells but it's possible that he was explaining that the class of 2020 essentially doesn't exist after this season because Greg Brown will be moving on to the draft.

Very wrong. We have the #13 class according to 247. 2nd in the Big 12

could also have been 2022 and I only perked up hearing 0...

I sure would feel good about bitch slapping KU twice in one season.

Game should start on ESPNU because Gata/Barn going long

Greg Brown shooting a step back three off the dribble to start this game shows why Shaka Smart is out of his depth here. Poor shots like that are simply a part of our offense, and they will never ever ever be so much as addressed, much less corrected. completely disheartening to watch.

Why is the narrative that the strength of Texas is in its guards?  Christ, we have proven over and over that our best way to beat good teams is to pound the ball inside to Sims & Jones.  I guess the passes come from the guards?

This team cannot reliably beat a zone.

I think one of these slapdick announcers said Shaka must be a great coach because Texas is ranked but I’ll blame it on that little bit of whiskey I had

So looks like Febres is getting Cunningham and Donovan Williams minutes ... not a fan of that choice

damn.

I thought Jones was going to decapitate himself.

God damn Kai

we have proven time and time again that we are capable of creating good looks. if only our coach gave even half a fuck about emphasizing the idea of taking good shots then he'd probably be able to coach here for 20 years.

fuck. i'm sitting here watching the Texas vs Kansas game, Texas is winning, and i'm over here in a bad mood and upset, because i know that none of it matters as long as Shaka Smart is here. we can have all of the talent, and experience, and athleticism in the world, but when all they ever get is subpar coaching, the frustrating results remain the same, season after season. i watch us run a great set against Kansas which results in an easy bucket and i just get frustrated, knowing how good we could be if we actually had any discipline or coaching.

Not sure I can handle Jay blowing Shaka again all game. Credibility. Get some.

Yeah but did you hear about The Altercation? You have to give Shaka all the credit in the world for even getting this team through warm-ups Post Altercation.

At least Jay said it wasn’t the reason we lost. Fran would still be talking about it

Maybe we could guard him?

Ramey gonna yell at GB3?

Agbachi does one thing. That’s it. He doesn’t do anything but spot up. Just be in front of him.

Jay saying Texas settling for jump shots instead of working the paint.  WTF does he think been going on around here since Shaka got here?  But hey, he says Shaka is a great coach.

This thing's getting ugly.

KU on a 19-2 run.

So tired of watching ramey dribble to the right, pick up his dribble, and force passes.

Shaka has zero plan. None. Defensively or offensively.
