There was a time when I might have said that and when you might have negbombed me for it. 🤬🤬

So, what's the theory behind Jersey Mike leading off?  I see Zubia has lost his cleanup spot by flailing and I don't really see Antico being that much better if at all, notwithstanding his moonshot and game-winner yesterday.

Those seasons didn't begin with the shit sandwich we put up last weekend.

Anyways. Happy to be wrong. Lead cut in half :D

Do I just have rose colored glasses from last year, but we were doing pretty fucking well before covid struck?

This year does not look like anything is going to be easy.

Holy shit, that was a terrible 0-2 pitch. Doesn't matter - popped up weakly for the 3rd out.

Happy to see a response and now pitching needs to shut them down and keep the heat on.  Their defense isn't that good and we have to keep pressure on them.

I know everyone is having the same problem, but pretty much not playing for a year then not practicing Last week set us back some. Let em get some reps and knock off the dust a little bit. Now is we’re .500 going into conference play then yeah holy fuck

Everyone is having the same problem, but not the same results.

I know I am pissed about the de-californiacation of the schedule (I liked going to those games) and the lack of letting us go to games period but hey you can buy football tickets! So I think I am more negative this year than usual.

It's hard to say. We had a nice record last year (14-3), but it might have been fool's gold. Sweeping Rice was sweet, but that was the worst Rice team in ages (2-14). Same with Fullerton, who ended up 4-12.  We definitely performed better in the 3 games v. LSU/Arkie/Mizzou, but lost 2 of 3.  Boise, who hadn't fielded a team in... 40 years...also gave us 2 or 3 good games.

I'm just talking shit, but this would have been years ago.

Are the Crusaders kind of a power in H-town now?

Or is this kind of like overreliance on Round Rock and other locals in the late Harmon era?
