Nathaniel Lowe acted like there was a King Cobra at the plate on that slide home

That was kinda fun.

It was, but I took Colorado on the 1.5 run line in a 5 team parlay.   OF course it was the only one that didn't hit.

We haven't sucked as much the past few games. Partially because the pitchers getting called up seem to suck less than our dogshit starting rotation from the rest of the year. Hard to know Leody was going to finally show up though.

It makes it seem like the Rangers 2A-3A affiliates were actually better than the major league product.

Three errors in one inning by Lowe.

Good God.

Official scoring might be pending but announcers have it as 5 in the 9th as a team. (Which makes it the 3rd 5 error inning since '74)

They were well overdue for a good Rangering.

Hearn seems like he doesn't suck that bad lately.

So I looked to see what Gallo has done since being traded to the Yankees.  Yikes, it's not good.  Batting .130 and has struck out nearly 50% of his AB's ( 61 K's in 123 AB's ).

Alexy seems fairly legit. Hope it's not a fluke.

It's been an encouraging week or two, but let's not go planning that parade route just yet.  :)

I feel very bad for Gallo, but not so much for the Yankees.

If Gallo K's in his next AB, it'll be an even 50% K rate as a Yankee.  Just incredible.

It’s not that far from his lifetime 44% strikeout rate.

I believe you are both ignoring walks?

You’re right. I was using ABs. Using PAs gives him a SO rate of 37%

Would be nice if several of Otto/Howard/Hearn/Dunning/Alexy could end up being reliable rotation guys going forward in the future with Leiter eventually arriving and maybe adding a big time FA down the line.

Maybe we play passable baseball next year?

I’m all for that but these assholes need to stop winning games this year. we’re gonna win our way out of a top 5 pick.

I say that only half serious.

and I know currently we’re pretty locked in to the top 4.

I just need us to get to our 96 losses so I can collect my preseason o/u wins $$.

Next to last off day.  I guess they are spending it in Oakland, hopefully no one gets shot.

Nice. I don't remember where I said it. But I predicted about a 75 win season

Yeah, I took the under 66.5 W’s for $200.   I also took Vlad Jr leading the league in RBI $30 to win $1500.    He’s only a few behind.   Didn’t help that he only had like 6 RBI in August.

6-1 in last 7 games.  Hearn has been a pleasant surprise as a starter.

Just waiting for Lyles to get shelled and the Astros to tie it.

Great K on Altuve there.

1 2 3 on 3 Ks in the 6th.

Where the fuck did this guy come from?

Man Peters has had a nice little close to the year. Actually pretty normal for him - I think he's just coincidentally played well in some of the games I've watched.

Hilarious they left Greinke in that long.

b2b doubles for Garcia. I think this kid has a future.

-1.5 bet update, I'm sitting at +$880, down from the high water mark of +$1517 on August 26th.  I will do full stats after the season, but I sorted by starting pitcher and got some interesting results, I figured Folty would be the most profitable, but it was actually Allard.

Allard +$833

Folty +$684

Kohei +$183

Lyles +$18

Hearn -$203

Gibson -$229

Dunning -$434

Pirates won so we are back at the 3rd worst record.

This helps.

DFAed to make room for Folty, that's a tough pill to swallow.

Rangers hit my magic # last night.  Under 66.5 is now official
