Having this scout guy talking is kind of distracting right now.

  • Nice quality win tonight. Got some nice timely hits, made some bunts, stole some bases, threw out a guy(nice!), and Madden struggled a bit but fought through it. Check out this vid of Madden’s fastbal

  • I feel like every game the announcers mention how the opposing pitcher's fastball must play faster than the gun shows. I think at some point they'll learn it's us. 100% of the pitchers we face don't h

I kind of get it but you have to know the speed of your player.  that was never deep enough with even an average arm/throw.  make the pitcher throw some more pitches early in the game

Yeah it was kind of 50/50. Who knows? Maybe the right fielder air mails it but yeah in hindsight, make their pitcher face another guy

I mean, theoretically, the guy in RF should be in RF because he can make that throw, and longer ones, on a line, every time.  Thinking he's gonna rainbow it or miss isn't a very good bet against a quality team like SCe.

Holy shit...just saw on the runner at the bottom of the screen that OkSt has a four pount lead over Baylor with less than a minute to play.

well this is south carolina, not TAMU CC.  my guess is their RF is gonna be pretty damn good.

Yeah no I agree but I also get being aggressive early. Idk

It’s not like the NL with the P hitting next.  Pierce just took a guy out of scoring position with a numb nuts decision ...

maybe pierce thought he was coaching 10u and SC was hiding their worst fielder in right.

That was the most zubia at bat ever. Watch a hanger. Foul off a fast ball. Chase one in the dirt. Sigh

He was batting like .390 a few games ago and I still expected him to strike out swinging every time. It’s a sad state of affairs on the hitting side of things.

followed by a strike out to end the inning.

holy shit.  ardoin down watching 3 strikes.

7 strike outs through 3.1 innings? Record night maybe.

Dude, did you watch the first 3 games?

gonna need to win this 2-1?  Madden gonna need to go the distance again.  need 2 quick innings here.

Not sure if Faltine was out there but it doesn't matter much if no one behind him makes contact

Maybe Pierce's desperate and maniacal running decisions are based on the knowledge that we can't hit for shit and are going to need to manufacture runs.

I would agree with this.  any reasonably good pitching makes us look foolish so far this year.

We are actually 18-22 on stolen bases before today.  That surprises the shit out of me.

Just confirmed return trip to Columbia next year? Nice. Three-hour drive.

Hodo maybe the first real impact underclassman legacy since Street?  I don't count the brothers Clemens as impact underclassmen.

Did the Houston catcher get all 4?

I was skeptical about his hitting, but he has surprised me. Hopefully he can keep it up because his speed is legit.
