American Airlines....787...premium economy...anybody done this?

Featured Replies

bought ticket, 7 hour flight.  Looks really good great value. Only 21 seats on huge plane in this category.  Any tips welcome.

Sounds likes good way to circumvent Human Resources’ economy only travel policies.

Hmm, could be...cool thing, aa claims the seat is the same seat as a first class seat, just none of the upgrades, like food.  I chose a window seat on first row, in front of me is a bulkhead, good room to stretch.   Price....free 2 pieces of luggage included, only $80 more than regular seat after paying for luggage.

I haven't yet, but I believe they are like to old first class seats before they had the lay flat ones. They are bigger, and recline some, and have a foot rest.

I have flown premium economy on Lufthansa on their 748 and 380.  It was worth every penny.   Not only was the seat better but the food/drinks were way better as well.

No one is going to confuse these seats with a first or biz class seat but EONS better than an economy seat.  $80 more is only because of the covids.  Once travel picks up expect that seat to sell for $200-300 more.
