RIP. I miss that place quite a bit.

Anyone know if the one in Houston ever plans to open back up?

Godammit — Texas losing to ACU and the Ginger Man news? This is too much to take in one night.

Damn. I lived at Post Columbus Square right out of law school from 1999-2003. Spent many Fridays there after work, and would meet friends there when I would visit Dallas in later years.

RIP to a great bar.  Dirt is just too expensive/valuable in Uptown these days.

One of the places that turned me on to good beer. RIP.

Gotdammit...fuckity fuck. I got drunk on Paulaner Hefe-Weizen too many times at The Gingerman in Dallas back in 92-94. I always planned on taking my kids there on a Dallas visit now that they’re all 21+.

Word has it that it has closed permanently.

I work at the Crescent and it’s boring as hell in Uptown/McKinney these days.

Is Katy Trail Ice House the only place left that has more than 20 taps now that Common Table and Gingerman are dust?

Strangeways isn’t far from Uptown.  40 taps.

When I first came to work at the Crescent in 2004, the number and variety of drinking and eating within walking distance was seemingly endless.  Now when I visit it's the fucking Shake Shack.

I absolutely lived at that place for about ten years from 1997-2007.  I probably spent more hours there during law school than I spent in the law library.

This really hurts me in my emotions.

Was Common Table a casualty of COVID? I only had one experience there a few years back, and it was not a good one

Many a four in slutty clothes and her even fatter friend went down in the GM....happy trails slumbusters, each and every one of you!  I will miss you all....

The Gmen were toward the end of my drinking career.  In Dallas, it was a good place to get boiled as an owl on Celis products, but wasn't exactly full of nookie.

The Austin variant was quite another story, at least after games.

I didn't spend much time in the Houston one.
