For the celebrities who got famous in some other arena, but felt they could sing and/or play.

To state the obvious:  most of them sucked.

Does anybody know where I can get the lyrics to the Travolta song? I think I might add it to my repertoire.

Bradshaw wasn't bad at all.

It was the Jill Stein thread in "politics" that reminded me of this.  So, here you go.

No talent.  None.  Horribad.

Forgot about Nimoy.

I suppose this thread not complete without Captain Kirk's overconfident buffoonery.  The narcissism to think that the world needed him to "interpret" a song for us.... just wow.

I still bust the balls of the German cousins by simply stating, "Germans love David Hasselhof."

i replied to The Hof, but the other shows up. Now it is correct.

Love the part when Jill Stein knocks the crash cymbal off the stand, but manages to rescue it and put it back in place, because the crash cymbal is a big part of her conga vocal act.

Yeah, her congas plus a teeny, tiny splash cymbal played by hand = absurd.

I didn't watch the whole vid, but I have full confidence that she felt obligated to amateurishly slap every little percussion device in front of her (exactly like if you gave a 6-year old drum sticks and put them behind a kit).

I don't think I'm doing a good job conveying how much she irritates me.

Good call. One of the worst songs ever. I almost quit liking Starsky and Hutch after this song came out.

I came here to post the Bradshaw one.

Mr. T is my favorite.

In fact, I'm wishing I had titled the thread, "Scott Baio is terrible at this job"

My aunt gave me this album for my birthday one year. I still don't know why.

This is pretty hip. He did pretty much everything (mixing, recording, vocals, instruments).

As a Pete Yorn fan, I was skeptical -- and a bit pissed -- that he would pair up with Scarlett Johansson for an album.  I mean, she's smoking hot and all, but the actor-to-singer experiment hardly ever works out.  But their 2009 album Break Up was a pleasant surprise.  More than that, it was a damn good record.  I think it helps that her vocals weren't the primary focus of the songs, and Pete did a good job pairing the music and his vocals with hers.

Maybe, because it's damn awesome!

What am I missing in the Fresh Prince Wild, Wild West video?
