I know Norm Charlton already played for the M's, but we should call this Nottingham kid the Sheriff.

I may just give it an exemption for now. Was overall a very productive thing for me.

I tuned in for a couple of innings and it was depressing. I’m starting to think our moderate success early was a mirage.

The Padres have sucked forever.  Their franchise decided to spend along with the build.  Not all of the spending worked out, but at least there was an attempt.

Their beliefs are their beliefs.

But I have the right to point out my belief that such a decision is misguided, shortsighted, and potentially dangerous to others. Frankly, it smacks of selfishness.

Fans have the right to be upset that the already-struggling Mariners will now be short-handed for an indeterminate time with Friday’s unsettling news: Four relievers were placed on the injured list due to a positive COVID test within the ballclub and the subsequent contact tracing. Results of further COVID testing will be available Saturday, meaning more fallout could be forthcoming.

The Mariners are sure making it hard for people to get behind them — even the ones predisposed to give them every benefit of the doubt. Between the Kevin Mather incident early in spring training, to the season-long hitting drought that has reached embarrassing proportions, to now this maddening team-wide aversion to vaccination.

For a franchise already riding a 19-year playoff drought, it’s not the best way to win friends and influence people.

Damn Mariners.  If they had beaten the Padres, would’ve been a 3 way tie atop the NL West.

For those who don't know, the Mariners motto this year is "Sea Us Rise," which has been, like all Mariners mottos, ripe for parody.

We have a pretty good streak going of not getting no-hit.  What is it, like 5 games now?

Watched the whole thing with a neighbor who is a Yankees fan, but a good dude.  Told him to “get ready” the moment they pulled Kikuchi.  Given this team’s make up right now, hey the losing streak was interrupted.

Listened to it.  That was something.   Oh Montero sure has a Fernando Rodney feel to him.

Welp, down 2-0 already.  Guess I'll watch a little until the Horns play.
