May 18, 20214 yr OPS+ is BR’s main offensive measurement. Here’s Haase’s page... https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/haaseer01.shtml For comparison, Giancarlo’s career OPS+ is 144, so 44% better than league average. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/stantmi03.shtml
May 18, 20214 yr Am I racist for being surprised that Marco Gonzales doesn't have a Latin American accent?

May 18, 20214 yr Author Last three innings Kikuchi seems settled in. Now If only the M’s could give him some runs.

May 19, 20214 yr Author So we have visitors at my house tonight from out of State. So I didn’t watch and decided to check the score and see we are in danger of being no hit again.

May 19, 20214 yr Believe it’s 7 for MLB in one season. Edit: Guess there were 8 in 1884, mound was closer then. 7 is the modern record since 1900, all four times since 1990. Edited May 19, 20214 yr by shadow_operative2.0

May 20, 20214 yr Author Biff has tried to have a semblance of hope. But yeah, this may be the worst Mariners team I have ever watched and that is saying something. Year three of the rebuild and it does not look good. Doesn’t matter which prospects you rush up if there aren’t at least some serviceable vets to help round out the roster. At least half of the starting lineup shouldn’t be in MLB, period. Edited May 20, 20214 yr by MC Fresh Breath
May 20, 20214 yr Bret Boone kind of dropped off the face of the earth after baseball. I always assumed he was hiding from potential steroid accusations, but I have no idea. I had to look him up: apparently he wrote a book in 2016. Huh.
May 20, 20214 yr Funny that Cano should be making $24M this season if he wasn’t such a goddamn idiot. The $48M over next two should help though.
May 20, 20214 yr Author A little too positive, but some decent analysis on my least favorite player: https://www.lookoutlanding.com/2021/5/20/22437048/whats-going-on-with-luis-torrens-s-defense-catcher-knee-holding-runners-stolen-base-framing-blocking?utm_campaign=lookoutlanding&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

May 21, 20214 yr Author Hmmm Quote Based on a potential positive test, and out of an abundance of caution to allow time to work with Major League Baseball on contact tracing protocols, the Mariners today made the following roster moves: · Keynan Middleton (#99), RHP, reinstated from 10-day Injured List (strained right biceps) · Aaron Fletcher (#41), LHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma · Wyatt Mills (#40), RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma · Yohan Ramírez (#55), RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma · Eric Campbell (#5), INF, selected from Triple-A Tacoma · Robert Dugger, RHP, placed on Injured List · Anthony Misiewicz, LHP, placed on Injured List · Drew Steckenrider, RHP, placed on Injured List · Will Vest, RHP, placed on Injured List https://marinersblog.mlblogs.com/mariners-make-9-roster-moves-5f4bc1874487 Wonder if those are some of our dum dums.
May 22, 20214 yr Author That was most folks' guess as to what was going to take place. Hope they don't get no hit tonight.
