NYT Google Street View "guess if they voted for Trump or Biden" game

ok what I am good at is seeing a palm tree and then guessing if it's California or Florida

yeah, took me three tries to break the Top 10%.  I was too busy dicking around trying to break down architectural styles, topography, and geographic clues.  They were clever though, there's nowhere that looks overly wealthy or overly poor.  Lots of places look lower middle-class/working class with maybe two really nice neighborhoods peppered in the whole quiz.  The trick was, don't overthink the home design, the cars, or the signage, or any of that.

Just look and let your gut answer this question, "Do the people on this street blame other people for them living on this street?"  When I did that, I scored 18/20.

They did this with viewing the contents of an open refrigerator a few months ago as well. I did terribly.

16/19

Some of them were impossible because i could pick out the state but they chose an opposite party suburb. Dicks

15/22 first try. The ones I knew instantly I always got right, which included al of the Texas ones and the Oklahoma ones. At least 3 of the ones I got wrong it said were won by less than 5 points, so I consider those ringer questions.

While that gives the impression of a maybe gentrifying set of brownstones, I'm gonna guess that's pretty working-class multifamily.  Look at all the minivans for fucks sake.

The orthodox Jewish and Italian parts of Brooklyn leaned heavily Trump. That photo looked like Midwood, BK or Southern Williamsburg, BK. Predominantly Orthodox/Hasidic Jewish hoods.

The Hasidic Jewish families avg over 6 kids and they LOVE minivans.

I suck at this, but at least I got one right:

Per @BearSchlong's point, some of these are pretty flexibly defined "neighborhoods." I failed to guess how a stretch of highway outside of Aztec, NM voted.

Oak Cliff. Interstate 35 and Ann Arbor.

So the NYT has made a game where you get to judge the actions of people based on the superficial appearance of the neighborhood they live in?

I mean, yeah.  If I was any better at judging the real estate value of a neighborhood, I'd go storm the Capitol.

At least now we know which ones to burn down.

High score 75 percent, usually 65-70. Generic suburbia and older Northern/Midwestern neighborhoods give me the most issues.

That sounds way easier.

I was 15/15 before getting 3 of 5 incorrect to end at 17 out of 20

Look at the trees and the amount of land around the houses as the first clue.  Second clue, if there is more than 1 american flag in the picture always pick Trump. I finished top 25% 18-22.
