there's so much to unpack from today, so i'll just start listing them. tuesday was devastating for oakland, today was twice as devastating for the yankees.  they had just started to play better.

The boy and I were at the last ALCS clincher - we were walking on air for days after Altuve’s walkoff. Today, the boy is 5,000 miles and 7 hours away, with no way to watch. So we did a video chat, w

  • Enjoy it. Old Altuve, no more Correa means this is the very end of the road for your tainted dynasty.

Bregman gold star!

Excellent throw on a soft squibber that helps keep Odorizzi pitch count down and extend his stay in this game

How did Straw not get to 2nd on that?  Damn he is shitty at taking advantage of his speed.

Altuve saved that fucking aggy from another disastrous outing right there

wtf are you talking about????

Raley got two of his batters--including Tatis Jr with the bases juiced---to pound the ball  into the ground in front of the plate.

Altuve made a really good play, if he doesn't at least 1 more run scores, probably 2. Tatis bailed him out as well by being very anxious on 3-0

I don't understand why they didn't go to Garza here just to see what they've got. Five run lead, nobody on base to start the inning.....Cmon Dusty.

Ok aggy lover

Or I just don't give a fuck about where a guy in an Astros uniform played college ball?

Holy shit. Pressly going to have his arm fall off by the midseason mark. Dusty is so bad at managing pitching staffs.

The game was on the line, I would have put him in.

Yeah I know but it just seems like we're relying on him way too much in those situations and I am concerned about his usage.

Otoh, maybe those short stints recently made it possible to use him for a few hitters today. Still, I hate it.

The problem is Dusty too often tries to stretch multiple innings out of this shitty bullpen. Smith never should have come out for the 8th.

I wouldn't have sent Pressly out for the ninth, though.

who would you trust to get those three outs? not arguing, just asking.

I agree with your last sentence, however I don’t think there’s any manager, dead or alive, who could successfully manage this dumpster fire of a staff.
