The boy and I were at the last ALCS clincher - we were walking on air for days after Altuve’s walkoff. Today, the boy is 5,000 miles and 7 hours away, with no way to watch. So we did a video chat, w

Might as well lose by 10 and make them use up all their runs, right?  That's what other teams did to us in the regular season.  Isn't that how baseball works?

Just want to gratulate Dusty for going with Yimi over Greinke when it counted. Plus, he looks like an absolute fucking idiot masked and gloved up the way he does. He ditched the mask and gloves earlier this season at times. Does he have a hotline with Fauci?  I’m not gonna miss him next season.

At least LaRussa also feels the need to throw his closer up 6 for whatever marginal advantage that brings.

Hopefully, this is like the 2017 ALDS.

About that...I was just wondering if we're going to bring Lance back in relief tomorrow like we did JV.

Well, they brought Sale in first, and we knew we just had to get it to...Ken Giles.

Perfect ending, Hallion. MLB should announce he's had a stroke later tonight.

30 pitches, 10 pitches, whatever.  He can probably only go 2-2/3 tomorrow.

Fitting to end it with an ump show.  A shame to blow a 5-1 lead.  Close it out tomorrow.

How come when we have a 5+ run lead going into top of the 9th we have to give up at least one walk and a base hit to make it intersting, yet other teams just mow our asses down?

A few reasons

namely, on one hand, Graveman , Javier, Garcia, raley, stanek, Pressly, maton

on the other, guys like Hendricks that can throw 98/99 with absurd movement on their breaking pitch

We’ve won 13 of our last 20 playoff games away from Minute Maid Park. Our home/away hitting splits this season are about as identical as a team can possibly have. How can this even be a talking point?
