there's so much to unpack from today, so i'll just start listing them. tuesday was devastating for oakland, today was twice as devastating for the yankees.  they had just started to play better.

The boy and I were at the last ALCS clincher - we were walking on air for days after Altuve’s walkoff. Today, the boy is 5,000 miles and 7 hours away, with no way to watch. So we did a video chat, w

  • Enjoy it. Old Altuve, no more Correa means this is the very end of the road for your tainted dynasty.

Garcia reminds of me a bass player from Harlingen tejano cover band.

Damn McCormick just missed making the catch of the year. Not even sure Reddick could've made that one.

Happy birthday shep, hope the Astros,  or Phil, don't ruin it

He looks like one of the Colombian drug lords in Crocodile Dundee II.

I like this Garcia kid, he's got a good pitch mix and can locate.

Garcia, Framber, McCullers, Javier, and Urquidy will make less than $20M next year.

There is no reason we can't get a better lineup around that rotation.

Take McCullers out and those other 4 will cost about $5M. Framber will be in arb1 and will get a nice raise.

Maybe get a fucking hit?

Why the fuck does Dusty send out AAA lineup.

Big inning coming up for Astros

Wow good job Raley, I couldn't even take a piss in time to catch that inning.

Checking in now from work...one goddam hit?

You can’t say god damn on the radio.

At least Garcia and the pen showed up today?

Ted ph-ing instead of Brantley to leadoff the inning doesn't seem ideal.  Maybe Brantley is nursing something?

I was at that last game they showed in 1986. Nolan had 1 hitter through the 10th and Davis walked off with a HR

Damn, nothing wrong with a 6-2 homestand but it would have been nice to finish off at least one of the sweeps.

Condolences for anyone that paid money to watch that.

I’ve been wondering when the Surlies were going to turn on him.

To be fair, I have disliked him for a while

Oh I didn't know the Astros played this afternoon. Guess they didn't know they were playing either

Pitching was solid.  Nearly had the defensive play of the year which was the difference in the game.  Kikuchi was dealing.  It was a good game.

They offered him $37 dollars and a gift card to Gallery Furniture, I don't know what else they could have done.

Jim Callis's Astros minor leagues report is out.

Notable that Pedro Leon will be playing SS at Corpus and hitting leadoff. I think that means the team expects Correa to leave in free agency.

If the potential glut of quality SS's on the market next year, and the position being the strongest it's been since the late 90s-00s, Correa is going to find himself in a difficult position unless he starts hitting.

Baez, Seager, Story, Simmons, and Crawford will all be FAs along with Correa.

He has a higher OPS than every one of those guys except Seager and he's younger than every other 2022 FA SS. I think the only difficult position he will ever find himself in starts with DANI and ends with ELLA.
