there's so much to unpack from today, so i'll just start listing them. tuesday was devastating for oakland, today was twice as devastating for the yankees.  they had just started to play better.

The boy and I were at the last ALCS clincher - we were walking on air for days after Altuve’s walkoff. Today, the boy is 5,000 miles and 7 hours away, with no way to watch. So we did a video chat, w

  • Enjoy it. Old Altuve, no more Correa means this is the very end of the road for your tainted dynasty.

Machete!!  Way to leg it out.

just another day at the office when you're a professional.

McCullers with an emphatic K to end the inning. It looks like Emanuel is gonna have the last two innings

Keep cranking up that run differential!

Some Scrubb just blew our shutout.

And Katy 7 Lakes talk not going away

I look forward to opposing lineups tomorrow with Yuli and Arozarena.....

Woooo A's lost a close one to Baltimore 3-2. Oakland had the winning run in scoring position with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth before flying out to end the game. Rat gave up back to back homers to take the L.

Astros tied for second with Seattle at 14-12, 1.5 behind Oakland.

But this tells the story.

Altuve is 1/21 in his last 4 games with 4 Ks, meaning he has an .059 BABIP.

His current AVG is .273 but his expected AVG is .321 (per Statcast).

Likewise, Tucker is hitting .181 but his expected AVG is .290 (and expected SLG is .563). His avg exit velo is higher than Yordan's by 1 mph. His hits should be coming. I am encouraged by his 3 BBs last night too.

The Yuli!!

Nice throw arroz con pollo

I love tuning in late to see a crooked number in the first inning

Urquidy seems to have found it.  Rotation is shaping up nicely with Framber in the wings.

They've really been great lately.

I miss Yordan bombs. He just missed that one by a fraction of a inch.

He had a couple of Mo-Berg worthy statue poses on 2-0 and 2-1.  I don’t want to see him get into a rut of being too patient.

As long as he doesn't start making toe lines in the batter's box with the bat on his shoulder between pitches .....

Get it together Pressly

Blown shutout in the 9th again
