The boy and I were at the last ALCS clincher - we were walking on air for days after Altuve’s walkoff. Today, the boy is 5,000 miles and 7 hours away, with no way to watch. So we did a video chat, w

Back in first is nice.

Looks good on us, like a well-worn leather jacket we'd misplaced for a bit.

As a fan, I'd take those odds.  Kelly can't hit the zone for shit right now...

Has the Houston Chronicle online just stopped covering Houston sports?

Front page of sports section online doesn’t even mention lasts nights game. They do say we swept the Rangers.

You gotta go to HoustonChronicle.com, not chron.com. whatever is in the paper is posted there, chron is for people like 3putt

Ugh, he doesn't have any baseball instincts.  It's like he started playing the game last week when he's in the field.

When are July and August tickets going to go on sale?

The age deal isn't really a thing anymore for young foreign players.  The US Govt cracked down it.  I think he's like Lebron in that he's looked 35 since he hit puberty.

Yeah Straw is just embarrassing out there. Still way too many baseball people who think "guy fast, guy play centerfield." One of the reasons Richard Hidalgo was such an underrated player in his mid 20s. He had tremendous range in CF because his instincts were damn near perfect. But he wasn't that fast and looked even slower than he actually was with his running style so people assumed he wasn't good.

Yeah, but is it really fair to expect a Major League centerfielder to have the awareness and understanding of a 14-year-old Pony Leaguer?

If thinking about this, I’d check to see if @Gourmand or @UTexasFight have plans to go.  If so, pass
