April 2, 20214 yr Nixon has to develop. If Pierce is going to stick with him, we need him to start having more command of his pitches.

April 2, 20214 yr I'd also like to see Quintanilla be given the chance to expand his role a bit. Maybe a midweek or Sunday start or an opportunity to close.

Whitt seems perfect for a dude you bring in in the 7th or 8th and he shuts em down. But yeah Whitt in that middle relieve slot with Nixon at set up and Quintanilla closing. Also surely Hanson is gonna be the Sunday starter in a or 2, right? Kub is fine and all but I’d rather see him on Tuesdays
April 2, 20214 yr Also for fucks sake. Move Kennedy to center and Campbell to left. Permanently. Antico has looked like shit since pretty much the byu series. And more ab’s for Powell, Geib, Porter and Whitt plzzz
April 2, 20214 yr Antico has been a major let down. Guy looks nothing like a former All American and its not even close.

I was tempted to write, "Yeah, I guess it was different facing Villanova pitching..," but St. John's played some pretty good non-con competition last year (GA Tech, Kennesaw, Charlotte, Cal, UNLV). I didn't delve into it more than that, but yeah, any way you look at it, he's been disappointing.
April 2, 20214 yr Author KU pitcher has put up some impressive stats so far this year, but he hasn't faced Mike Antico.

April 2, 20214 yr Author Good news: 2 runs scored and KU hurler around 50 pitches. Bad news: already 4 LOB.
April 3, 20214 yr Author Hodo scorched that ball right to the CF. He's had some good swings. We've worked 60 pitches in 3innings out of the KU starter.
April 3, 20214 yr Author Stevens gets the worst hitter in the conference to ground out to end the threat. Still 2-0 after 4.
April 3, 20214 yr Very curious what someone who plays the game the wrong way looks like to surfer bro analyst.
April 3, 20214 yr Disch-Falk having a turf base path (and “warning track”) is completely indefensible
April 3, 20214 yr Author Horrible swing on a 2-0 pitch ends the inning. Let this guy off the ropes with 4 LOB in the first two innings
