The biggest difference in public reaction has more to do with the populations affected, and not the media portrayal.  White people (as a group) don't feel as targeted by police, and therefore haven't reached a point of public unrest about it.

Give it 100 years of cops treating white people like this and they'll have enough of it too.

the new thread about some dallas cop being charged for murder had me looking up DPD internal affairs.  these are the reports from their landing page

any time an arrest subject shows resistance (starting from psychological intimidation and resistive dialogue, all the way to aggravated aggression), the incident is recorded.  from 45000 annual arrests, 1800 (4%) were recorded with subject resistance. 

 

anyone want to theorycraft on these numbers below?
