  • I took my nieces to the TCU game in Ft Worth.  The youngest is a 12 year old libero for her school team and a HUGE Longhorn fan.  When it got to 12-12 in the 5th, she said "They're so young and probab

My thoughts so far.  1) I hate to say it because I loved Cat but I think we upgraded at libero. Petersen won't make the wow plays that Cat made but she looks to be much more consistent in serve r

  • Screw her. I predict team chemistry is 1000x better this year.

Get Claire out of there...aced and then shanked pass.

Well, we don't look as horrible, but we're getting smoked again.

They need to put a triple block up on Plummer, especially when it's an OOS play.

we're hitting .136.

Block and the tip-things are almost totally ineffective.

Still seeing that Claire can't defend right back very well.

Not even worth tipping against Stanford....just hit high hands and hope it rebounds off the block.

This isn't as horrible as the first set in PA, but the score may actually be worse.

We're gonna get swept in our own gym.

Passing is actually decent....Stanford is just reading the sets and putting up decent blocks against our hitters.

We're going to have to hope the Pac12 and B1G kick the shit out of each other if we have any hope of hosting.

Very much out-Texasing Texas.

if stanford's going to block like this we might as well put more air in the sets and let our girls get a full swing every time.

Not sure why Shook went to Yaazie there when you have Butler in the middle.....

Stoooopid service errors

If we can keep ourselves under 5 per set, I will be thrilled.

Yaazie wants to blast through the block and if she can't, she just tips....she needs to learn to hit off the block.

the only ball i remember the stanford libero mishitting was the free ball she shanked.

she looks like she's trying to plant it in the fat part of the court everytime.

I think, as some commentators have noted, that we're also kind of missing leadership.  Micaya is the logical leader, but just doesn't have it.  May wind up being Petersen.

Just set Butler a high ball and let her go to work....

I’m watching the match. Stanford looks to be in a league above Texas in all facets. Hard to believe Texas and Stanford are just 1 spot away In the polls when Stanford looks like varsity and we’re JV. Plummer is just dominating us as a hitter but she’s getting good sets from her DS and setters

really bad technique on our blocks.  arms waving all over the place, we're not closing up.

Wisconsin looked a lot better than us too, but not as physical, still extremely effective hitting.

Texas needs to see where Stanford's DS and Libero are at and hit away from them, even if they have a huge block in front of them.

They also have a faster offense which neutralized our block.

our serve receive has been pretty impressive.

Fucking Service errors

we had a mantra:  serves in we win.

Serving the ball in the court is hard. I mean sure when I’m playing drunk beach volleyball I still get my serves in 95% of the time but I’m sure it’s different for Texas

Yours are probably harder to return than the ones we get in, too.
