Seems we are on the precipice of new AD guys and gals. Both a remix of Season 4 and a new Season 5. Hurwitz seems displeased with Season 4 and probably heard the criticisms, here's hoping the linear plot remix works better than the original cut

I can't fucking wait for the new season. I'm on my 3000th rewatch now to prepare for the release.

Anyways- quote away and discuss.

E- Huh, that's weird, I posted the tweet link and it doesn't seem to want to appear inline.

I remember very well lamenting on how season 4 was disappointing and having people tell me I was just "too dumb to get it and go back to watching 2 Broke Girls."   It was hilarious how defensive people got about any criticisms about it.

Very excited about this.  The original version of S4 had some good moments, but mostly it was really slow.  I hope this recut/remix will be a better experience.  And also, Season 5 soon!

Yeah I thought the weakness of Season 4 wasn't the non-linear storytelling so much as it was the absence of having the whole ensemble togehter for much of the series.

The strength of the show was always the amazing ensemble, and the show's best moments/episodes were always the ones where everyone was togehter for much of the show.

I believe they've said that Season 5 will include the entire ensemble most of time.  And another great thing about Season 5: Henry Winkler is returning as Barry Zuckercorn.

Greatest line of all time.

Michael Bluth:  I think George Michael is hiding Ann in the attic.

Lindsay Bluth:  From whom, the Nazis?

I'll have the Ike and Tina Tuna.

Plate or platter?

I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

I may wine them and dine them but I don't let them tell me what to do.... I DON'T.......LET THEM TELL ME WHAT TO DO...

Way to plant Ann.

Why don't you and plant wait in the stair-car?

I didn't hate Season 4, but as others have said, it suffered from the lack of the ensemble.  ANUSTART was incredibly funny.

"I blew my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, and now I have quite a mess all over my hands"

"There are so many poorly chosen words in that statement"

Season 4 remix dropped today and is getting pretty good reviews on twitter.  Will begin watching tonight.

Yeah the GF and I are making some Cinco de Cuatro libations and gonna start the Season 4 remix tonight. Looking forward to it.

So they restructured the existing episodes do be time based instead of character based?

Why?

Because it felt like a disjointed mess the other way (in many people's opinions).  This is a top 5 show for me all-time and I didn't finish season 4.

We need to finish s4. Maybe we will do this remix instead.

Eh, it's been so long since I watched S1-3, I'm just gonna start from the beginning and watch the remix when I get to S4. Seems like the only way to be sure I get the full enjoyment of S4 remix.

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking this way.

I thought it was fine. Weird.

Sounds like they've changed a few things in the remix too. Ron Howard added quite a bit of new narration.

Michael: What comes before anything? What have we always said is the most important thing?

George Michael: Breakfast.

Michael: Family.

George Michael:Family, right. I thought you meant of the things you eat.

Those are balls.

Very excited for the return of Barry Zuckercorn.

Agree.  The line in the first episode of Remix 4 about tipping African Americans.

Barry:  Even on trains?

The remix is great so far.

Lucille:  Look, it's the anus tart.

<Narrator>:  She hadn't even seen the license plate.

I'm definitely enjoying the re-edited S4 more than the original S4.  The jokes happen more frequently, they're at a pace closer to the original.  S5 look good too.

When did the remix get released?

Last Friday. (Cinco de quatro)

I missed all of this. Will rewatch from the start. 4 was very disappointing, hopefully the recut and fresh eyes make it more enjoyable.

I'm wondering why they couldn't have just released the remix first.  Also do you think the PROPERTY OF TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX watermark is a joke or is it because of suits?

I liked season 4 but interested in the remix. As has been mentioned it’s lack of ensemble was more of the issue and binge watching was best to catch the time/joke overlaps. I assume DOB status won’t remove Jeffrey Tamboor for season 5?
