man, that was a terrible 0-2 pitch, but we don't make them pay.

Daly looking like a kid at the plate again.

Ouch. No need to hurt yourself against Nevada.

New pitcher for Nevada. They've run out of weekend starters to throw at us.

This pitcher is awful. WHIP is just under 2.00.

Daly has to be there covering 2nd. Come on. Basic fundamentals. But nice 6-4-3 to cap off the inning. Let’s get the bats rolling

Did the batter bunt on that play?

Actually shit he may have. Don’t remember and don’t feel like rewinding. But yeah if he’s bunting then Daly was probably headed towards first like he’s supposed to, saw Hansen had it and realized it was too late to do shit. If so, my bad

Zubia GIDP, one scores

4-1 Texas

Edited by Machinator

The Hispanic Titanic doubles to score the remaining baserunner.

5-1 Texas

Petrinsky grounds out to end the inning.

5-1 Texas after 7. Hansen back out.

I’m late reading the thread and I don’t remember but if he did bunt then yeah Daly was more than likely doing the right thing. Seemed to be a weird play overall, tho.

Thanks

No it was just a chopper iirc. Daly took a step towards second, then started toward first to back up a faltine throw, then stopped again when he saw that Hansen got to the ball.

Wasn't a bunt. Normal groundball.

Hansen starting to lose his feel. Gives up a leadoff double. Gordon and Wenzel warming up.

Hansen gives up a walk. Wenzel in. Runners on first and second, no outs.

Ah ok, thanks for the clarification.

Seems like Wenzel can't put anyone away.  Bad, bad 0-2 pitch.

Balls that were finding gloves before are dropping in now. It happens. And bad pitches don't help.

Yeah he doesn’t have an out pitch.  At least once in every at bat he gets the sinker up and then it’s very hittable.
